Suzuki Violin School, Vol 2: Piano Acc.

Missing Page
The very last page in this book is missing. It was a printing error -- not sure if that's the case with other books from this print run, but I will need that last page. Hence the 3-star review. The content, however, is not an issue. The pieces are simple to play for accompanists and can be sight read easily. The material is a great step in training the violin students' ears to work with different types of accompaniment. Nice progression from book one.

Fair
The book was listed like new. I don’t feel this was quite true. The book was bent in several places making it harder to turn pages easily. I think “good” would have been a better description for the condition.

Good but could be tricky for beginners
Wanted to be able to accompany my daughter. Good book for an intermediate piano player but some pieces could be tricky for beginners.

always quality from suzuki, but why is EVERYTHING called a "gavotte" ??
I'm the one playing the violin part (not included in this book) so I assume the piano part (played by my wife while I practice) is good. it sounds good. I mean, it's tough to hear clearly with a violin two inches from your ear. those things are super-loud. hard to carry on a conversation or hear things clearly, especially in your 40s, when you've got someone who is just learning to play a violin (which can sound like a tortured feline when played poorly) right next to you.
