Does just what it says - at a great price

Works fine

I purchased this Orei Audio Extractor as I needed a digital output to go to an optical input on a Fiio BTA30 Pro Bluetooth transmitter from a BluRay player which only has stereo analogue RCA/phono and HDMI outputs, for this purpose it seems to work very well and though a bit more expensive than others I looked at before buying I’d say, from experience so far, it is actually good value, a well made and engineered bit of kit, it’s aesthetically pleasing with nice printed graphics and labels, a metal construction (which seems to be as strong as possible given it’s diminutive proportions) though, like so many small size audio boxes, it is so lightweight that inevitably when it has three or four cable plugged in it is prone to lift off the ground so I’ve used double sided tape on the bottom of the unit to keep it anchored, everything is set out and thought out so well, I’m happy to say and slightly surprised (in a good way) that overall it has a premium feel and looks right in place and at home pretty much anywhere you put it whether that’s a HIFI rig or audio visual set up, living room etc, I’m not technically proficient or equipped enough to test it with meters and be very scientific in this review but to my ears and ultimately played through Audio Technica MX50BT2 headphones and Samson Rubicon R6A studio monitors, Fiio BTA30pro it is and to all my intents and purposes a noiseless, compact, well engineered piece of equipment with a clean design which is easy to use and works right out of the box.

Worked straight out of the box and de-embedded the Audio as I would like it without any noticeable delay. Shipped with UK plug. Highly recommended.

The unit itself is smaller than I expected and was very easy to setup. The picture and sound quality are unchanged although I have noticed that every couple of hours the screen will go black with some static noise but that only lasts for a fraction of a second so not the end of the world but a little annoying. I’ve got mine connected to a Sky box which is then split to a TV and a Raspberry PI so I can stream the video to other TVs in the house. Update: It seems the cutting out is becoming more frequent so I’m going to return it.

Lovely piece of kit

No problems so far. I wish i had got a slightly different model, but it still works fine for my purposes. And no problems. Its working well. It was taking up space on my desk till i mounted it using those velcro command sticky strip things (which i just cut to size and shape with scissors).

I started implementing a setup that can swiftly shift between playing nintendo and singing karaoke one year ago (Winter 2023) - This splitter has been the core of my setup since then. The tricky part is in karaoke system, since it involves in a TV box for the music and multiple microphones. I ended up using a mixer to mix the music and mics. The mixer takes only analog input - and that's where this splitter shines: It extracts audio from either input and output it through a 3.5mm analog port, which works great for my solution. The switcher is also very convenient, because of it I can switch between nintendo and tv box for karaoke with just one button.
