That said, also remember that typically, Blu Ray disks respond a little more slowly than standard DVD disks in a player, and that may be more noticeable with "Region Free" disks. They do play just fine -- but you may need to be a little bit patient and not try to rush things or you could have a system lockup and need to start over.Next, as it often is with foreign-produced movie disks, some of the information on the box or the inserts may not be accurate! I'm not sure why this is so, but you'll probably notice it if you try to add minutes attributed to individual disks and then try to match those totals with what is written on the box or the inserts. Even the NUMBER of disks themselves, included in a season may be incorrectly stated. The IMPORTANT thing is to verify that each season is complete, if you have any questions -- but -- be careful in searching for verification information or you might SPOIL your viewing experience by finding out more about the plot than you really want to know!I did have questions, and the folks at a2z Blu Ray were very quick and exceptionally responsive to my questions! Let your Amazon Seller help you and avoid the risk of spoiling your enjoyment of the story.Now, about the quality of the "Region Free" Blu Ray disks --Absolutely perfect! Give your player enough time to "spool-up" and buffer the splash-pages you need to reference and you should be just fine! I have not experienced any in-play lockups, pixilation, or any other problems. Audio is uniformly very good also.I am enchanted and engaged by the story line, and that, of course, is a separate matter altogether. I've tried to focus on the more "nuts-and-bolts" aspect of actually playing the disks. Just take your time with NAVIGATION through the menu startups and you should have no problems.Another bonus to buying from an excellent Amazon Seller like a2z Blu Ray is that, at the moment, you can buy the entire six-season set for $100 - $110 (it fluctuates). Or, you can go to a big discount membership warehouse like Costco and pay $149....Enjoy! See you on "the Wall"....**** 11 Dec 16 -- Additional comment: Have now worked my way up through Season 4, Episode 2 and have not had any problems getting any of the disks to play perfectly on my Sony Blu-ray player (here in the United States). As long as you don't get in a big hurry and try to jam too many commands on top of each other you should be just fine with these region-free disks.A big plus if you are multi-lingual! There are voice tracks in many different foreign languages, as well as subtitles. The German language voice tracks are surprisingly well done! Enjoy! ********* 24 Dec 16 -- Additional comment after completing watching all six seasons, and a number of the special features.EXCELLENT! No problems at all on my Sony Blu-ray disk player. Region-free worked just fine for me here in the U. S. . The special features are ingeniously arranged, and help the viewer to more easily understand the very complex kingdoms and lands of Game of Thrones.This is easily the best entertainment value I have seen in years. Now I'm sick at the prospect of having to wait until months from now before Season 7 is aired by HBO. I hope you enjoy this series, too. Thank heaven for Great Britain, without which we English-speakers would have only the United States as a supplier of entertainment... and that is often disappointing. Hey, "I drink, and I know things!"

Not rating the show, have not watched it yet. As for the physical product, I love the look of the mosaic box sleeve and the box itself. The box itself is factory shrink wrapped while the disc cases are not. No missing or loose discs so that's obviously great and the digital code for everything is in the Season 1 case as expected. While this is my personal experience here, I don't doubt the possibility that factory flaws may occur with other people. My only hope is that all of the discs will play fine since this is a birthday gift and watching every episode in our busy lives will take some time. Keeping my fingers crossed here. Thank you for this set HBO and seller.Another thing I'll mention is that I bought this set because it was $94 at the time of my purchase a few days ago and that's a significantly better deal than the newer/current set for Seasons 1-7 which, with taxes included, comes out to $161... for just the latest season included which is also 2 episodes shorter than every other season with 10. So you'll save at least $30 buying this set and S7 separately. This is a great deal for such a huge and popular series.

I almost stopped watching after the first two seasons, there were too many characters thrown in and it was very hard to keep up with who was allied with whom and who was backstabbing who... thankfully by the end of the fourth season, so many characters had been killed off that it became much easier to keep track of everyone. So if you feel the series is too confusing, keeping going, it gets MUCH better after season 3!!As for the discs... they all played perfectly fine... however... be forewarned that if you have a Sony player (not sure if it's the same for others), after swapping two or three discs, the next disc will be extremely slow and will probably freeze. Then, you have to wait for your player to reset and turn itself off... then turn it back on and the disc will play perfectly fine. I don't know if there is some sort of 'memory' in the Sony player, but for whatever reason, after swapping two or three discs without turning off/on the player between them, the next disc will stutter and eventually completely freeze. It's a small price to pay to watch such an amazing story.

This collection is well worth the money at $20 per season. They are region free and they play fine on my old blu ray player. There is a fairly long load time but it's not terrible considering it will take several hours to watch each episode and bonus features.Speaking of bonus features, this collection is full of them. There is a series of animated histories narrated by the actors that is especially nice for those who haven't read the books. These vignettes delve into the histories, houses and lands of Westeros and are quite informative. There are commentaries from the producers and actors as well that shed light on the creation of the series. There are also a lot of behind the scenes features too.All in all I recommend this collection. For the price you are getting an incredible amount of entertainment for your money. As I said, the only downside is a longer loading for the discs but it is by no means an insurmountable inconvenience.

I'm new to the world of 'Game of Thrones', I've not read any of the books so I was quite skeptic on whether to go for the collector's edition of GoT. My cousin suggested me to watch the series at hotstar.com, after watching the first two episodes on Season 1, I was on-board. As mentioned by many this series is not at all meant for kids, in-spite of its violence & sexual content, the overall story is the strong point. I've purchased the UK Edition of the GoT which happens to be Region Free. Most of the season box-set comes with a family tree & map which is good to look at. I would recommend to any one who is interested to watch the show. Refer to the enclosed pictures.

I was going to wait until the final series were made to purchase this Blu Ray set...however...I couldn't wait any longer,plus the price fell and it made it a great bargain...I can always buy the last 2 series another time..Anyway..back to the discs.. I'm not really going to give my opinion on the series itself,except to say, that if you know anything about it,just buy it...you won't be dissapointed...I had read that some people have had issues with discs missing...not playing correctly and other disorders...so because of this when they arrived I checked the discs were all there (check). and I actually ran through every disc to make sure they played (check)..After this I began watching the series itself..Firstly...the quality of the discs were first rate and in full screen...which most of HBO series are so no black lines top and bottom.I will point out that I'm usuing an OPPO player and an LG OLED screen and the colours and detail of the picture top notch..in fact the quality was so good I could actually make out the weave on Sean Beans wig on the hairline....As to the sound quality...I'm actually listening to this through a 7.1 system and every sound is crisp and detailed and the steering of any special effects perfect...I'm glad I purchased it before the final 2 series are released and am looking forward to getting them as soon as they are available...Cheers

Amazing picture and sound quality as you'd expect from Blu-Ray. This is the first television series with the audio mastered in Dolby Atmos (or so it is claimed in the opening credits) and the sound is INCREDIBLE. Even though I only have a 5.1 system when Dolby Atmos is selected the soundstage really opens up providing a depth that I've never heard from even the best Dolby Digital mix (a Dolby Digital 5.1 mix is provided also). The series is amazing, the disc packaging and presentation is superb, although as others have noted only seasons 1-3 have the separate episode guide insert, an odd omission, they all have brief episode synopses on the inner face of the case sleeve, so it's not the end of the world.I'd previously bought the 1-5 Blu-Ray box set that is still kicking around on here and had to return two complete sets due to serious disc manufacturing flaws, I strongly suspect as others have said that this 1-5 box set was a knock off, produced goodness knows where in awful cardboard disc sleeves. This looks and feels like the genuine article, buy with confidence.

This an addicting series to watch. Production value is excellent. My only complaint do far are the castle siege scenes in episode 9 of season 2. I thought the on the ground battle and fighting fell a bit short. The intensity of the battle scenes in Lord of the Rings comes to mind as an example of good intense ground battle scenes.
