Esembly Cloth Diaper Inner - Organic Cotton, 3-Pack, Size 2 (18-35lbs)

We took the Essembly diapering 101 class and it helped us prepare to cloth diaper our baby before she was born. We ended up buying the recommended number of diapers (24 inners and 7 outters) as well as cloth safe every day ointment (coconut oil), and diaper rash cream (zinc based). We also bought overnight inserts and the tossers. We mostly use our cloth diapers, but we use disposables on the go, or when our daughter gets a stubborn diaper rash that won’t go away. We specifically do disposables for stubborn diaper rashes so we can use heavier creams (like the 40% zinc decitin diaper rash cream) without harming the cotton inners. And while coconut oil works for the most part for helping her with painful constipation, we also use disposables for when she needs aquafer to help with the constipation. The diapers have held up really well. We have zero issues with the heavy duty cotton material or any stitching. We follow the essembly laundering instructions and use the essembly detergent with the agitator balls. We wash them with a normal wash followed by a heavy duty wash and then 1.5 hours times dry. One thing that can be annoying is that the absorbent layers tend to get bunched up. We have to fold them backwards (to the outside) and carefully flatten them to get many of them to sort of lay flat. When going through as many diapers as we do, we often don’t have time to fold, and then we are just trying to get them flat against our babies skin, and sometimes they still end up rumpled if we aren’t careful. I think those rumbles are why she ends up with stubborn rashes, and I’ve tried to tell my husband we need to flatten them, but it’s difficult and neither of us have time to fold diapers every day. Which gets me to my next point. Thank goodness for cloth diapers. My little girl believes in doing lots of little pees and then crying the moment her diaper is dirty (whether it’s disposable or cloth). We go through about 12 inners a day when we are full time cloth, which is a laundry load a day. As long as we properly enclose the inner with the outer we have no leaks. When my husband is going too fast and doesn’t pay attention to the inner sticking out past the out around the legs or on the back, then the inner absorbs liquid and sends it straight to the clothing. We have never had a blowout. As for fit, they worked really well for awhile. My daughter is below average weight with above average height, and thick thighs. Thus, we are finding we have to size up in ever diaper before the hits the max weight because her thighs become to tight. We have pushed these into the groin as much as possible, and yet we still are at the point of struggling to snap them around her thighs. They are a little loose around the waist even though they are so tight around her groin/thigh (the inners have only one row of snaps while the outters have two rows. We have the inners a snap tighter on the top row than on the thigh row.) they are also quite far below her belly button at this point. So, this means our 15.5 pound, 27inch long, almost 7 month old little girl is moving to size 2 inners in the next couple of days even though size 1 was supposed to fit till 17 lbs. (I’m sad to say goodbye to the cute outers we had for size 1, but I also have some new cute outters for size 2, so just like all cute baby clothes, it’s time for out with old, and in either the new). Overall, we love these diapers. I highly recommend them even with the folding up inside the diaper issue and my baby being a weird fit. Baby girl always seems comfortable in them, the cotton material of the inners is good quality. And they are easy to wash. P.S Essembly has new inners on their website that are sort of a mix between these and prefolds. I really want to try them with the next size up and see if those help with the awkward bottom shape.

I used pocket diapers and pre folds with my first kids so I only found these after I started cloth diapering my one-year-old twins (babies 5&6). I am in love! I got these little covers really cheap on Amazon (pictured) and they work amazing! Reasons these diapers are amazing: -They are like a pre fold in that they are 100% organic cotton but WAY easier to use (no folding or messing with a clasp. - They provide all the convenience of a pocket diaper but you don’t have to stuff it! - They are very absorbent and so far do not leak. - They are plain white so they work with both gender baby and you can pass them down and just buy new inexpensive covers if you want to change things up! A few minor complaints: -They aren’t as versatile in sizes. Pocket diapers and pre folds you can shrink down to fit a newborn but you have to buy different sizes with these. -You have to wash a few times before they really get absorbent and they take a bit longer to dry because it is all one piece. -They are also not as versatile as a pre fold or a pocket because you cannot add absorbent layers. (Hasn’t bothered me so far. I just have some pocket diapers to use if I need to do that) -They aren’t the cheapest option but I think adding a pack or two to your stash is a worthwhile investment. If you are thinking about trying these just do it! I don’t often take the time to review products but to help other mammas I will! *As a bonus side note, I use the same little waterproof covers with some plain white organic cotton training pants I got on Walmart.com so I will continue to use the covers over underwater through potty training and over the diapers at night!

I have clothe diapered for 13+ years. These are really well made and an excellent leak proof organic cotton diapers. A lot of the negative reviews are clearly coming from user errors or a lack of understanding what happens when you wash cotton diapers repeatedly or wash them with an agitator or let them sit dirty for too many days without washing (people complaining about mold and stains) organic cotton is very soft which means it will wear like organic cotton does. Comfort and abdorbancy come first. Always hot wash your diapers with a pre wash every 2 days, don't soak them. Stains happen without proper dirty diaper detergent. The sun can take out every stain so you can always dry them in the sun to fix stains. Excellent poop diapers. Exceptional overnight diaper. Great fit. Any experienced clothe diapering mama would give these a rave review ❤️

These cloth 100% Cotton diapers are fantastic and great quality. They are expensive to me but worth it. My granddaughter is now one year old and is now in the size 2 but she has been in these diapers since birth. I purchased 30 diapers in each size and she uses about 10-15 diapers a day.

LOVE THESE! We only cloth diaper part-time. I used to CD with pockets, but HATED stuffing them, and daughter kept ending up with a rash (thinking from the synthetic linings). PROS: organic cotton, convenient, fits my 15 mo well. Haven't had any leaks yet. Lovely eco-friendly option. Very well-made. CONS: the stitching that hold the "insert" part down, can be a little difficult to get poo out of. They are a little pricey, but I think the quality balances out fairly well. Overall, a great cloth option. I've seen people complain in their reviews about having to put on the inner, and then the outer. Yes, but if you don't want to do that, choose a different type of cloth diapering system lol. (Pockets, AIO, etc)

I absolutely love my Esembly cloth diapers! I swear by them. They’re very high quality, easy to wash, and work perfectly for my baby.

I would do anything to convert to cloth diapering but I just can’t seem to figure it out and Esembly baby was certainly not the right answer for us. Two reasons: 1) the snaps are really hard buttons that dig into your baby’s skin if you are to make a snug fit diaper. I felt so badly buttoning the inserts - it certainly hurt or was at least uncomfortable. 2) highly absorbent? Nah. One pee from my newborn and the insert was soaked all the way through and leaking. It would be like putting a paper towel there. Sadly, these just aren’t going to work for me. I’m down to try another brand or two but other than that it’s back to Huggies owning me for the next 2 years.

My first order was messed up but I got them fixed! I love these diapers. I have size 1 inner for my 9lb 6 week old. I needed to wash them a few times to build up their absorbency. But honestly, this is the best diapers before I move into pockets when she’s bigger. They fit great and contain things without leaking.

10/10 if your thinking of cloth diapering i highly recommend these with the cover. I cloth diapered for a 20 months with my first baby and used a very popular brand ...noras nursery... and had leaks ALL the time. Literally. All day evry day but i thought that was just normal with cloth diapering. But after learning noras nursery uses 100% polyester inners and how bad polyester is I got rid of them and was searching for 100% cotton diapers and found these! The outter isnt cotton but it only touches the skin a tiny bit... anyway. After 1 full day of cloth diapering. Not one leak. Not one! No wet spots on his pants nothing! Amazing! Will be buying more to switch to 90% cloth diapering! (I still use disposables at night)

My wife and I have tried many different brands and styles of cloth diapers and training underwear and these are by far our go to, they're very absorbent and seem to fit our baby quite well, other brands it seems end up leaking pee out of them unfortunately. Keep up the great work Esembly!

Not as absorbent as some other brands, usually I have to add another insert. Besides that very soft and very well made. Clean easily and have stated in good shape after many washes.
