Professional Quality RG6 Flat Cable approved by Major Satellite and Cable TV Providers

I was looking for a quality flat coax that I could use to connect my cell phone repeater antenna on my patio to the amplifier in my apartment without drilling a hole in the wall. The cable I originally put in my cart went out of stock before I could buy it so I found this item and determined that this may be suitable for the application. I installed this cable in the window sill of a window that opened onto the patio and I am able to close the window and lock both locks. The cable is excellent construction and the bandwidth is sufficient that the cell phone repeater unit is functioning excellently. This cable is completely molded to the ends and one end has a vapor barrier attached to the connector on the cable so that you can create a weather tight fitting. This is a quality item and you should not be concerned that this is another "chinese" substitute.

I use this flat cable to feed a TV signal into my RV, and it works well. No problems, but it does take a beating when I close the window on it (so I try to leave a small gap between it and the window).

We tried a cheaper and thinner one first but it didn't relay enough signal. This one is a bit thicker than we'd like but it actually works.

I moved into an Apartment complex that just happened to have the balcony facing the right direction to get DirecTV. The only problem was that the management wouldn't allow the dish to be permanently mounted to the building in any way, so my only option was to have it put on the balcony, bracketed to the railing. The door from the balcony into the apartment is a sliding glass door, with no other windows or doors to feed the cable through. I ordered this cable on Amazon while the DirecTV installer was there, and he verified this is the cable that they usually carry in the truck (he was sadly out at the time of the install). Got the cable, instructions were easy enough to follow to form the cable around the indentation in the sliding door frame. Now the sliding door closes and locks completely, but the screen part won't, simply because it's too thin to form the cable into the opening. I don't mind this, so not taking any stars off for this. Good product, it's pretty sturdy, so it seems it will hold up. I don't open the sliding door very often and I'm very careful to slowly close it as not to damage the cable.

I live in an apartment, so drilling holes to accommodate a dish is not an option. I read a lot about these flat coaxials, and many places say not to use one because they can be susceptible to interference or interfere with the higher frequencies of modern satellite components. Maybe there are knock-offs, but this one is excellent!I was able to squeeze this between a window and screen, rather unobtrusively, to get outside. It feels like it's a high-quality and well-made product; it's heavy and substantial, and doesn't feel cheap at all.If you intend to use this with a sliding door, just know that you might have to replace it every-so-often, and this is spelled out on the instruction sheet. But at this price, even if you have to replace it every year or so, that's not a bad deal. But through a window or the hinge-side of a door, it's a clever and fantastic product for any apartment-dweller!

I purchased this flat cable wire to replace a worn out cable for my DirecTV satellite service. My cable runs through a patio door, and while this cable is very durable - it's too think to allow the door to fully close. This likely works better with windows. I didn't have any signal issues, it was just too think for my needs.

Works perfect and does the job. Great buy. Couldn’t find it in any store but of course Amazon came in clutch!

I purchased this cable several weeks ago to solve a problem with a HDTV coax coming under the back door. As an RF engineer, I was very skeptical at the thought of flat cables maintaining a low VSWR and Insertion Loss over a wide frequency range. I ended up buying both the Holland Elec cable and the Ghost Wire Flat RG6 cable, and hands down, the Holland Elec cable is a really good cable, performance wise.I put both cables on my Vector Network Analyzer to compare, and the Holland cable maintained the lowest insertion loss over frequency and return loss of -20dB past 1GHz, and -18dB out to 2GHz. (-14dB return loss is considered acceptable, and greater the value the better)I have included a plot of the data so you can see what it measured.
