Dreametech D9 Pro Robot Vacuum and Mop Cleaner

To start this is my first robot vacuum cleaner. I did consider buying one for years, but I never found them to be of much value till recently and there are many options to choose from, albeit for a premium. I narrowed down my selection to the Roborock S7, S7 MaxV and Dreametech L10 Pro. Totally ruled out the S7+, S7 MaxV Ultra, Dreametech L10s Ultra & Z10 Pro due to the cost factor and not really needing the dock features in my situation. Z10 Pro is a great value, basically a L10 Pro with a auto emptying dock, but more on that later. My house is two levels, first is mostly hardwood floors with a couple of area rugs and a tile bathroom. The 2nd level is all carpet (low pile berber) with tile in the bathroom. While the mopping feature on the S7 was rated much better and retracted during transition to carpet, the lack of obstacle avoidance and the price was the factor, even for a refurbished unit made me pass. The S7 MaxV was considered but the price point was above my budget, thus leaving me with the L10 Pro which was priced below $250 with a $30 coupon. Mopping While I did want to utilize this on my hardwood floors and tiled bathrooms, I realized that it was going to come with some caveats, which many other reviews have detailed. The issue with most robot vacuums with mopping is they tend to still get carpets wet, not soaked and it likely will dry quickly. Can cause some drag (if not retracted), reducing battery life and also creating some mop lint balls to form across the carpet. The biggest issue for me when trying the mopping feature on the L10 Pro was, it caused the robot to get stuck on some area rug and floor radiator transitions. With the mopping attachment removed, it had zero issues and mapped and cleaned the entire 1st floor at 2am in the morning without getting stuck once on the first pass. It's possible the S7 series with it's lifting mop may be better at this, but some reviews state it can make contact with carpet or area rugs that are high pile. Considering the L10 Pro has no lifting function and the mopping attachment is fixed, constant drag and getting stuck appear to be something of concern. So I tested the mopping feature in one room that had no area rugs and it worked great. While it did not remove some patches of dirt, it did help and actually made the floors look nice with just tap water. That being said, it will not replace my manual task of pushing around a Bona mop anytime soon. It also appears I'll have to use the mop attachment in a separate cleaning cycle and set no go areas where carpet/area rugs and floor radiators are present. This is a bit of a bummer, but is not a big deal as the main function of the robot exceeded my expectations. Lastly mopping no go zones are a guessing game to setup. If you have hardwood or tile floors with area rugs, you have to do your best guess on setting up no go zones for mopping. This is hit or miss in my opinion and while you can physically measure area rugs and the app will show you length and width. The actual position of the edges are the challenge which may require additional adjustments while watching the robot mop. Vacuum Without a doubt it's strong and had no issues cleaning low and high pile carpet, hair tangles are prone on this brush design, though there are no pets in the house, expect to manually clean the brush and remove hair after each cleaning cycle, something the auto empty docks will not do. I initially had it set to medium suction, then changed to high. Still having issues with the carpet sensing feature that I need to experiment with, but noticed on a first try it would not increase from medium to high after transitioning from my tiled bathroom over a wood threshold to carpet. Noise On high it's loud but not too bad, surely would not be able to sleep or watch TV if it was in the same room. This is solved by setting the cleaning schedule after everyone goes to bed. 2nd floor is done during the day albeit manually having to place the robot. Unlike others, I do not need to have one robot on each floor because the area is not really that big, but for the price point of the L10 Pro, it's not a bad idea if you have a big house. Navigation Great, has not gotten stuck (with mopping attachment removed) and the obstacle avoidance has proved to be quite effective. Can see places where it might get stuck, so not saying 100% void of this issue, TBD... App I'm using the Mi Home app, read that Dreametech has a new app, but reviews on it or low. Upon set-up, I was not directed to the app and firmware updates were all through the Mi Home app. Multi floor cleaning If you have two floors or levels, supposedly on the first mapping you need to 1) take the dock with you on only the first mapping, I have not tried this yet and just turned off my Robot after it was looking for the dock. I also read it will eventually stop. Issue is, I did this and I lost the map. I may try the dock next time. 2) within the app, you have to set-up multi floor and also save the map manually. Manual and App Help Somewhat limited, wish Dreametech would have more tutorial videos or online guides that went more in depth on features. Some features are buried in the settings and you are left to figure it out on your own. While I had no issues with set-up and maintenance, things like multi floor cleaning and dock placement need more attention along with spot cleaning and understanding how to initiate or just clean one room in your map. Closing thoughts I am extremely happy with the L10 Pro and highly recommend it. While I did initially think about spending more to get a S7 MaxV, this robot has exceeded my expectations and since Dreametech is part of Xiaomi which also Roborock is connected to as well, I think it was a first great buy. Time will tell how long it last and whether or not I stick with this brand moving forward.

I’ve owned quite a few robot vacuums over the years, and from a cleaning standpoint, the Dreame Aqua 10 Ultra Roller is one of the best I’ve ever used. The roller mop does an excellent job compared to traditional spinning mop pads. Since it’s constantly rinsed with fresh water while cleaning, my hardwood floors come out looking noticeably cleaner with fewer streaks. Vacuum performance is also outstanding, with plenty of suction for pet hair, dust, and everyday debris. Navigation and obstacle avoidance have also been excellent in my home, and the app offers a ton of customization once you get familiar with it. Overall, if you get a good unit, this is an exceptional robot vacuum. The cleaning performance, mopping technology, and automation are truly top-tier. I just hope Dreame continues to come out with innovative products like this!

I really wanted to love this Vacuum; I have been in love with Dreame robot vacuum ever since my L40. I started with the Aqua and only had it for about a week before returning it to get the Ultra. In that time, I did not notice any issues; I only sent it back because the Ultra was on sale for the same price. Why not get a newer model for the same price? The initial mapping went well, and even the 1st week of use was alright. It was a little slower than my older Dreame robot vacuums, but I chalked that up to the intense work it was doing since it now has an Nvidia chip and uses it for obstacle avoidance. About a week in, I started to notice that it was just not a little slower but way slower. Taking a full battery charge and then some, just to vacuum my living room with 3 passes. Since it has resume this did not really bother me. But then it just started acting strange. It would refuse to clean under my Kitchen ledge, even though all it had to do was lower its LIDAR, which it was designed to do and one of the reasons I wanted it. But it would just get confused and vacuum around before just t not lowering its LIDAR and just not getting close to the edge. Even when marking in the map that it should lower its lidar to get closer, it just refused. It started to stall while doing a job with the message of a chassis lift malfunction. Not just occasionally, but 3 times in one single run. Each time I looked over the robot and did not notice any issues, each time I would just say restart the job, and it would continue cleaning with no issues. Speaking of the chassis lift system, it lifts and lowers itself so many times. I thought it would only really do this while transitioning to a new floor type or trying to get over a lift. But I was wrong; while watching it, it would lift and lower itself constantly while doing a job on the same floor type, so much so that it would sometimes not fit underneath a ledge that it normally has no issues with. The vacuum would just go stupid (for lack of a better word0 when trying to go home to empty itself or clean the mop. It would bounce around for 30 minutes or more trying to go home. It seems almost like it stopped using all its advanced navigation items and reverted to VSLAM to try and find its way home. Which never worked. It would just drive around, bounce off walls, table legs, and any other item in its way. Then, out of nowhere, it would stop, spin around, and go right home with no issues. I fell asleep for a nap when it started making its way home, only to wake up some time later to find the vacuum was still trying to find its way back home. It was crazy; I have never come across a robot vacuum that acted like this. It really seemed like it turned off all advanced navigation features and then just turned them back on. This is probably the worst robot vacuum I have owned, and I have owned a good number of them. Even the older Roomba i9 performed better than this. I am not sure what went wrong with the model, but I would avoid it at all costs. If it ever gets down to like 4 or 5 hundred dollars, it might be worth it, then. It is a decent vacuum, and I loved the roller mop. I wish Dreame had other models with the roller mop. I guess it's back to spinning mop pads. I am really thinking of jumping ship to the new MOVA V70 Ultra Complete or the NARWAL Flow 2, as I really want a roller mop. I would not recommend this model of Dreame. I can not speak on \the none ultra version, as I did not have it long enough to run into any issues. I would recommend Dreame as a whole. They make very good robot vacuums, and the last 4 models I have had have been great. But for now, I would stay away from the Dreame Aqua10 Ultra; even after several firmware updates, it still did not improve its performance.

I’ve owned a Roomba S9 and a Eufy X10 Pro, and the Dreame Aqua is easily the strongest of the three. It completely outperforms the X10 in every meaningful way, and in terms of deep cleaning, it is genuinely comparable to my old S9. Dreame took the core strengths of the S9, such as strong debris pickup, effective brush design, and consistent cleaning performance, and expanded on them. The mopping performance is excellent and noticeably better than anything I have used before. The robot is not perfect, but the drawbacks are minor. The battery life could be better, although it has not caused any real issues. I run it several times a day, and it always finishes its cycles and is fully or almost fully charged by the next scheduled cleaning. It only got stuck a few times early on, and once it learned the layout, that stopped completely. My home is busy with a toddler, an infant, two cats, and an Australian shepherd that sheds heavily. The Dreame Aqua has handled all of it without falling behind. Floors feel clean, debris is gone, and shedding, cat litter etc does not overwhelm it. The app is the weakest part of the experience. It feels generic and not very intuitive at first, and I do not like the upsell popups. You eventually get used to the layout, but it is not the most user friendly design. Some removable parts on the robot and dock can be a little tricky to reinstall, and the dock gets dirty fairly quickly, usually within two weeks. A self cleaning dock feature would be a great improvement. Overall, despite a few small app and dock related issues, the Dreame Aqua is a powerful and reliable robot that performs extremely well in a high traffic, high shedding household. It is a clear upgrade over the X10 and surprisingly close to the S9 in the areas that matter most

We love this robot. We had a Narwal freo for over two years before and this robot beats it by far! We have 3 huskies, several children, and 4 cats. This thing leaves our house spotless 24/7 running several different programs throughout the day. I will say I am only giving it 4 stars because the robot claims it can cross things easily, and lift itself up. While we’ve seen it doing this, the robot repeatedly would not cross our medium shag pile rug on our hard floor to get to the other half of our home. It was really frustrating. Support was great, but they literally wrote back and said the robot is defaulted to avoid them so the robot doesn’t get stuck 🤦🏼‍♀️ that is not how it’s advertised and our other robots have never had an issue crossing or cleaning them. So that really stinks and we did have to purchase a different low pile rug for that room. So I think full disclosure should be noted that a shag rug is not its friend. Otherwise - highly recommend!

This Dreame robot vacuum works like a Dream!! It vacuums and mops at the same time while constantly using clean water, so my floors actually look and feel cleaner after every run. I was especially impressed with how easily it navigates around furniture, thresholds, and rugs without getting stuck, and it handles pet hair without the usual tangles. The docking station takes care of almost everything, emptying the dustbin, washing and drying the mop, and refilling the water. So there’s very little maintenance on my end. Being able to start a cleaning with a simple voice command is the icing on the cake. It has saved me so much time, and my floors have never looked better. Definitely one of the smartest home purchases I’ve made.

I'm very satisfied with my Dreame aqua10. The suction is impressive - better than my Roborock s7 max. It even picked up pet hair stuck in the carpet in just one pass, which really surprised me. Despite the powerful suction, it’s fairly quiet, about the same noise level as my Roborock, which is totally fine. The obstacle avoidance and mopping work great too, just as I expected. It does use quite a bit of water, so the tank needs to be refilled fairly often. Overall, it’s an excellent floor cleaner that gets the job done.

Exciting features with not so good longer term results across the original and two replacement units - experienced leaking from robot and base station - dustbin clogged frequently - SCRATCHED my wood floors due to a design flaw in brush cover The scratching was the last straw, and I replaced the dreame with another brand. Had so much promise with obstacle avoidance, mopping, features but issues outweighed that in the end

When looking at Dreame Robot vacuums, I have had the privilege to test several different items from this brand. And while I cannot directly compare with other name brands. I can definitely say that I have yet to be disappointed with any Dreame product I've used. Moreso, I have been completely impressed with the level of quality and performance that they pack into their products. From pool vacs to home robots, stick vacs to hair dryers. This brand is top tier. This particular robot vacuum is one of their highest models available. And the level of quality here is unparalleled with other brands I've used. But more than just quality that should allow the machine to last for years. The ingenious integration of technology and mechanical responses is absolutely flawless and amazing to see. From automated height adjustment, guided matrix patterns that adjust in real time, and mapping systems that are updated in milliseconds. The robot went back to the base, emptied out, and went right back to where it left off! Incredible! The automatic mechanical portions of this vacuum that make it stand out are plenty. With fast responsive projecting brushes that get into corners and along baseboards. As well as an automatic lighting mode that comes on when the areas darkens. Ideal for under couches, tables, bed, etc. And where your room has transition strips of up to 2", the bot maneuvers easily over them when it's time. But also ensures to properly clean along then. So it doesn't leave the nasty collection of debris that some do. The app if extremely user friendly and intuitive. With exceptionally well appointed features specific to your model. And for programming times best suited for your home or office, this robot can be depended on to have the place vacuumed and mopped by the time you come back. Spotless every time. So is this robot worth it? Absolutely. As a matter of fact, I've recommended it to family and friend who have bought it and are completely happy with the choice. All agree that ease of use, capacity, and thorough cleaning are amazing. With low maintenance needs and high quality materials. We absolutely love it.

I've owned my fair share of robovacs over the year. My first one was almost a decade and a half ago, and was very basic, but that was the standard at the time. Robovacs have improved a lot and even more in that past decade, and this Aqua10 Ultra robot is proof of that. My first LiDAR robovac actually was a Dreame back in 2022, and that was a big step forward. This AI-supported one that has all the essential, bells and whistles features you could dream of. It has a self-cleaning dock, for both the vacuum and the mop. There are dedicated compartments for the cleaning liquids, making maintenance even easier. The mop has heated drying so that it's always clean and prevents mold, mildew and other things from developing. The whole docking station is rather large, but there's so much in there that I can't really hold it against it, and it's still easy to fit it mostly anywhere. The robot itself is also great. It is all white and classy looking, with small chromes accents that give it a little extra nice look. It is also available in black though if you prefer that. Its LiDAR module pops out when in use, and can go back inside the robot if it needs to go under lower furniture. It has a cool looking light ring too. It also has a camera that helps it identify items on the ground, and can even take videos of your pets when it comes across them. You can also just log into the camera if you want to and use it as a little moving surveillance camera. It also has retractable legs that can climb short stairs, or even just uneven parts between rooms so that the robot doesn't get stuck, which is really great. The roller mop works surprisingly well, and doesn't leave as many marks on the ground as my previous robot with rotating pads. We'll need to see in the long term if it holds on well, but so far so very good. The app, Dreamehome, is also surprisingly good. Not that I didn't enjoy the previous Dreame app, but this one is very complete. It lets you control pretty much every aspects of your robot, from how rooms are separated, to how much time is left until you need to maintain your different equipment parts. I'm always a little cautious about claims of AI powered things, because it's such a buzz word currently, but AI is actually really handy here. It automatically detects steps or uneven spaces and adds them to the map. It detects rugs so that the robot won't mop them, and add them to the map. It also pretty much perfectly detects items on the floor, marks them on the map, and goes around them. So you can effectively just start it at any time and it won't get tangled in cables or toys, because it knows they're there thanks to both its LiDAR and camera. Honestly, it's extremely impressive. I've never had a robovac before that was as effective as not getting stuck anywhere. There isn't much negative to say overall about this robot. I've read around that some people had problems with the roller leaking, but it's been faultless on my part so far. It does seem like this is an upgraded version, so maybe Dreame addressed some of the previous problems. I just hope replacement rollers will be available for a while, because it's not as standard as mop pads, so I'm a little worried they might become difficult to find. Excellent robot, even if it's obviously quite expensive, but Dreame devices also are very often on sale, so it may be a good idea to wait a little if you're on a relative budget.

This is my second modern robot vacuum with advanced obstacle avoidance and a built in mop. Unlike this model, my old one uses rotating pads instead of a roller. This Dreame Aqua 10 is used on my first floor and replaces an older vacuum only unit. The difference between the Dreame and my old vacuum robot is really immense. Not only this unit mops, but more importantly it doesn't get stuck on wires, curtains, toys or socks. This was the bane of my old one! The obstacle detectction is fantastic! While my old robot was a vacuum cleaner only, the Aqua 10 is equipped with a roller mop . This is the main reason I wanted to upgrade - although the Dreame also has much more powerful vacuum. We have a tiled hallway and a bathroom and hardwood floors elsewhere. The Aqua 10 can be set to only mop the tiled floors and perform as a vacuum cleaner on the hardwood ones, or you can just get a light mopping everywhere. The robot does a very good job at maintaining the floors. It's not really something that will do any serious scrubbing, but if it runs on a daily schedule, the tiled sections will not need a manual wash. The roller brush is actually really clever - when the vacuum is close to the baseboard, the roller slides out and extends in order to run only millimetres away from the wall. Downstairs we have a modern robot that also has mopping function, but that model has two spinning flat pads instead of a roller. Both that one and the Aqua 10 have base stations that have large containers for clean and dirty water and a place for a detergent. The Aqua 10 is mopping our hallway and the bathroom, while the downstairs unit mops the kitchen. I think the Dreame has an edge when it comes to the effectiveness of the mop, but to be honest I'm not sure whether the difference is all that noticeable. Perhaps in larger spaces the advantage of a rolling mop that is being washed constantly would be more apparent, but in for what we need, both robots are more or less equal. In order to set up the robot one has to create an account on the Dreame app . As far as I can tell it wouldn't be possible to get the robot to work in an area without internet, but perhaps there are some workarounds. The Dreame app is well designed and offers a lot of different customization options. After the robot maps the floor, the user has access to a single room mode, floor mode, customization of the floor types, and different cleaning modes. The robot can do a vacuuming pass then a mopping one or both can be combined. There is also a spot clean option. My other unit has similar functions in a different ecosystem and I assume they are more or less standard nowadays. Overall I think this is an excellent robo vacuum. Intelligent obstacle detection, compatibility with title, hardwood and carpeted floors and large capacity base station (the base is seriously pretty big) are standout features. The model is probably best suited to larger spaces where the roller mopping should be superior to the typical spinning pads, but it will be happy running around a 4ftx5ft bathroom if that's what you need it for.
