Modeled after the Pompeii style Gladius this wooden sword is vey accurate in size and shape to the originals used by the 4th century roman legionaries, except in areas like the thickness of the blade of course where it must be thicker for strength. This great toy sword is made from solid cherry wood with the hand guard and pommel made of solid walnut or maple. The handle is decorated with rings wood burnt on the ridges.This sword is the perfect size for children or adults, it measures 24" long. This toy is made to last with sturdy wood and a hand rubbed oil finish that brings out the grain and helps protect it. Made by me in the U.S.A.
