The Sherpa was developed as a way to carry the iPad while working or playing without having to pick it up and put it down. The “horizontal” carrying system alleviates this cumbersome task while protecting your investment. Great shoulder strap for the iPad 2 and iPad 3.

Very nice case for Ipad, very well made.
Just got back from a professional convention where all of the meeting materials were uploaded to the Ipad. I was able to carry it to all of the conferences and the exhibit hall and had no struggle opeining up my Ipad for contact information and communication. I did take it to a shoe repair shop to get the camera aperture enlarged since that hole on the back for the camera was a bit small. They had a big leather punch that did the trick for me. It comes with a nice strap that is detachable, and you can use any other strap you like. For the meeting, I used a padded Swiss Army shoulder strap, but it is light enough you don't need that unless your shoulder gets tired carrying your I pad all day (I had to wrestle with a handbag as well!).I did quite a bit of research on Ipad cases, and previously tried the hard shell with the magnetic lid. This is much more secure and practical, so I recommend this item highly.

I little Disappointed
First I order the wrong size carrying case for my iPad and even though i reorder and paid for the right size, I was charge a return fee. Well; I received the right size Shoulder Strap Carrying Case for my iPad and what do you know, the zipper on the back is broke. I like Amazon, but i figure I would come out cheaper keeping it instead of being penalized for sending the defected shoulder strap carrying case for my iPad, that I paid for. So I am not happy about the carrying case for my ipad.

Very Good Case with One Quibble
I wanted a case of my new iPad (v. 3) with a shoulder strap and this was the only case that fit the bill. The others with a shoulder strap option were bags from which the iPad had to be removed for use. It is a nice looking case that appears to give more protection than the other case that I had purchased--especially around the corners. It also has better options than most for positioning the screen to nearly any angle you would like.My one quibble about it is the placement of the camera hole and the opening for the connector port. Unless I am doing something wrong, it is difficult to get both positioned ideally at the same time. Also, the iPad shifts somewhat within the case (Not as snug fitting as the other case) and I often find that I need to fiddle with the positioning to center the camera with the hole.I would prefer magnets over the snap to hold the cover shut, but I knew that it had a snap when I bought it.On another note they ship via USPS which is fine for most, but for those who live where there is no mail delivery, the postal address and physical address are two different things. Usually it is not a big deal, but if there is a substitute postal worker on duty, it can cause problems with delivery. If you're in the the same situation, use your PO Box address. Other than that, shipping was prompt and I received it earlier than the range of dates promised.Overall, a really good case.

Great product
This past summer my husband and I took a motorcycle trip from Mi to Yellowstone. I wanted to carry my iPad with me on the bike so I could take pictures along the way but I was afraid of dropping it. With this product I could strap it around my neck and it was very secure. I took over 1,000 pictures mostly as we were driving down the road and was able to capture many memorable photos. I highly recommend this product. A easy way to carry your iPad..

Not what they advertise
If you're looking for the keyboard case to actually have all the functions they advertise, think again - you WILL be disappointed! One very NICE feature is that the leather used in the product IS very nice as is the basic functional design. BUT - That's where the favorable review stops...First - the advertised magnetic on-off feature is non-existent (even though the advertising, the product specs and the packaging all say it has this feature!). It simply DOES NOT WORK!Secondly - the keyboard DOES NOT HAVE BACKLIGHTING - again - EVEN THOUGH BOTH THE ADVERTISING AND PACKAGING DESCRIBE IT! (And the enclosed brief manual, which is VERY poorly written, goes to great lengths to feature and describe the keyboard's backlighting - which it actually does not have!) And it doesn't say a word about the use of the case itself - only a long, poorly-written description of the (non-existent) backlighting and the Bluetooth function.Sherpa, no-doubt has a good idea here. And the case itself is pretty nice. But I'm afraid they should have stopped with just the simpler cases and not tried to enter the keyboard market. I would much prefer a lighter, sleeker case with no keyboard over what I got from them because it seems I'm stuck with lugging around a bulkier product with advertised bells-and-whistles that simply aren't included and/or don't work. (And I already have two other keyboards - just not in an integrated, shoulder-strap carry case - so Sherpa really set me up for the classic over-promise and woefully under-deliver disappointment!))
