Can't tell it's gluten free!
My husband is gluten sensitive and has been diagnosed for about 15 years. Gluten free has come along a long way in that time. Since he is gluten free, most of my cooking is done that way so he can be included in all that we eat. We had given up a lot of different foods during that time since either it wasn't made in a gluten free variety or it tasted horrible. One thing I had a really hard time with was flour. It was so complicated to make a flour because you would have to buy a variety of flour and you would need xanthum gum. The different kinds of flours were not also typically available at the supermarket that I shopped at and I would have to go to a specialty store to get what I needed. That also created a large expense for me and my family. So as a result, I didn't often use flour that often. As time went on, I found some flour that was acceptable, but many of them had an aftertaste and could also be identified by others as tasting different. Enter Better Batter. This was a flour I found out about from a blog I had been reading. I researched it and found it was available on Amazon. The price turned me off somewhat, but I decided to go for it. I was SO glad that I did. I will never question it or hesitate to buy it ever! This is THE BEST TASTING FLOUR I have had. I use it for everything now. I made the chocolate chip cookie recipe on the box and they were the most delicious cookies I have ever had. No one had any idea they were gluten free. I also use it for beef stew when the beef needs a flour coat first before searing. I tried it with Christmas cookies this year since my husband loves those peanut butter blossom cookies. I made a large batch of them and they disappeared quicker than quick. They were so tasty and like the chocolate chip cookies, no one noticed any difference. Even my father, who can spot gluten free from a mile away had no idea. This flour is the BEST!

Love Better Batter!
Love this flour! I use it as a substitute for regular flour in baking and cooking recipes, and it works great. I donโt use gluten free recipes, and I have great success in using this to make soups, waffles, and muffins. My only word of advice is to make sure you follow the instructions on the bag and weigh it. The only downside is the price, but you get what you pay for!

Excellent
Ok...GF boyfriend was very happy with our homemade noodles! Texture and taste. This was our first time making noodles, I had read that this brand was the best for noodles and it did not disappoint. Super expensive though.

Makes a delicious cake but pricey!
I had to make a gluten free birthday cake for someone--first time baking without gluten. Now for the taste and quality, this is for sure 5 stars!! But $32 dollars for a bag that made literally 2 smaller cakes is crazy expensive. I feel bad for people who always have to bake GF. This baked a very soft, flavorful, fresh tasting vanilla cake. I was happy with how it turned out and tasted. Baking with GF flour is a learning curve though and takes a little longer to set well in the middle. I ended up underbaking one and had to throw it away which was terrible..a waste of about $15!

It out-performs any others I have tried, so far!
This has become my favorite GF flour. It is the closest to regular flour that I have used, so far, and most people can't even tell I am using GF flour in my recipes.

My Favorite GF flour
I have been using this flour for awhile now and I have to say it does do a good job direct replace wheat flour. I have found that I do need to add a little more liquid then the original recipe. I.E. I add an extra 1-2 Tablespoons of oil or water. The taste wise it hard to tell the difference. But there is a very slight grittyness to the final product. My husband, mother and brother don't notice it or agree that the grittyness is there. But my father and I agree that it is. The extra liquid make it less noticeable to me. I now uses better batter for all my baking except for my zucchini bread muffins. For that use the bisquick GF pancake mix as a direct replacement. The bisquick has a sweet taste that works really well with muffins that why I use it. I do find that sometimes my bake goods don't rise as much. That doesn't bother me because I'm in it for taste. Adding an extra egg instead of oil or water will add the extra moisture it needs and should give it a little more rising power. I've tried lots of GF flours this is my favorite it's pretty easy to get a recipe right with it and you really don't need to add a lot of extra stuff to it. My only regret is I didn't find this sooner. Check out their website it has lots of recipes.

Good gluten free flour
Bakes better than flours that contain mainly rice flour. Does not go sandy after a day or two. Best I have tried except for mixing my own recipe.

Best GF flour on the market
Pricey- I know, but really the best there is out there. I bought this after it went down to 40$ for the box, since that was more reasonable now with prime shipping than what it was before. But I bought this after finding the cookbook,"GF on a Shoestring", and found that this flour is quite balanced compared to most ready bought flour blends. I made cinnamon buns with Expandex (also available on amazon with prime, also recommended by the cookbook)and oh my word. My husband is Celiac, and has been for years and years and says that the buns I made were the best he's ever had- even told me to sell them since I'd make a killing compared to our local GF bakery! haha Needless to say, this flour is pricey but well worth the cost for a treat every now and again, and definitely gives you what you need to work with, without it falling apart in your hands. One star docked simply because 40$ is still pricey for 5lbs. Update: I have no idea why the price has gone up to now 50$ for 5lbs. Insanely expensive, I certainly won't be purchasing if it gets any more expensive...
