Amptweaker TightMetal ST Distortion Pedal

Best distortion pedal out there for any type of metal. Sounds good through FX loop or in front of Amp. Active and Passive pickups sound good and clear. Built in noise gate works great for high gain. Currently running 9v. Will try the 18v soon enough. Used through a blackstar ht 60 stage tube amp. Currently running, Syemour Duncan Livewire, SD-Nazgul, and SD-Black Winter pickups and all sound amazing.Have not tried through my solid state amp or with any other pedals. But standalone allows you dial the tone you want. Price Sucks but worth it.

Makes you wonder...I tried lots of metal pedals. Boss, MXR, Korg, built in to amp distortions, etc. I always felt like I was missing something in the tone and attack. My guitars all have EMG pick-ups and I was never happy with any of the distortion pedals I tried. Until I bought the TightMetal from Amptweaker. I was happy to hear that the designer worked for Peavey at one time. I love Peavey amps.So this thing rocks! Don't mess with the other pedals...you pay for what you get! This will not disappoint!

Immensely impressed. Very versatile options and settings. Big fan of the circuit loop feature where the pedal is off but another effect can be connected and used or switched between. Stoked it’s handmade and not mass produced. Someday this little gem will be worth far more money. My first boutique pedal. God damn happy.

If I were you I would buy a 9v power cable so you never have to buy batteries or else this $203 pedal will cost $500 a year. Other than that it’s great and has many settings for various metal, rock, and even blues music.

Everything about this pedal kicks ass!

We have a pretty nice AMP but the distortion is not as good as his other amp that has distortion built in. Which is years older. Several hours of tweaking and still not happy.
