Depends on your view of casual sex.
I really wanted to finish reading this book, but couldn't get past the 18 year old having sex with whomever whenever idea. I liked the idea of the book (mystery, romance, action), but constant talk of getting a guy/girl into bed got in the way for me. I realized by chapter 4 that this would be the theme and couldn't bring myself to finish it, regardless of my curiosity. Some people are okay with that, but some aren't. Hence the review. It just took too much away from the main plot for me.

Sex and Bad Storyline
This book is marketed to the fans of the Hunger Games—making its target high schoolers. But the amount of sex, and the cavalier attitude of the main character toward sex (plus the fact that she wants to jump just about every attractive guy out there), is way too much for a young adult book.Couldn’t finish it, partly because as others have said, everything happens too easily. It’s a young writing style with mature themes. And it was so promising. Ugh.

Wow! This is fantastic!
Thinking back to book genres I've read, I never read a spy book. I've read some action, and I've read supernatural political plots. I'm pleased that this was my first in the spy area. I absolutely loved this book! It got a little crazy and I struggled with constant wondering of who could be trusted, what the end result would be. I admit I was confused about a lot of the book but I'm rearing and ready to dive into the next in series.

5 secret agent STARS
Wow, this little beauty stunned me. When I began reading this I wasn’t expecting be left in complete awe of this ladies work. Seriously, just wow.A secret agent with a mission to get close to the prince and protect him. Her first mission and she’ll do everything in her power to succeed. Teaming up with another agent they go undercover as sister and brother to try and solve the mystery of the assassination attempts on the prince and along the way they uncover a few hidden secrets and get in to a whole lot of trouble. This is the very first book I’ve ever read that’s included a spy, I absolutely loved the James Bond and Mission Impossible mixture for the spy name, very clever. The life of a spy seems so intense and fun, something I’d never be able to do. You can see how this author loves spies. This is my first read by this author and really hope I’m able to read the next books in the series. I’m eager to see what she’ll do when she comes face to face with that man. Brilliant story and characters, they blew my mind, just perfect.

NOT appropriate for young girls!!!!!
If I could give 0 stars I would!!! It was recommended for girls age 12-16, but is completely inappropriate!!! I randomly flipped through a few pages and ALL of them had sexual content/promoted promiscuity! I am SO disappointed in Amazon for categorizing this as a 12-16 age appropriate book!

So secret the president doesn't know?
I'm kicking myself for waiting so long to read this but I did. I finished close to midnight the other night and had I not had to work the next morning I would have started The Eagle, just because. I was lucky enough to get an arc of The Society which means I have to read the first two books first and let me tell you, Jillian is amazing at creating these characters, I became hooked on the first page and didn't want to put it down until I had devoured every word.Known as only X to her classmates she is sent on her first mission by Black X, an elite covert operation so secret the president doesn't even know it exists, she is given an intriguing cover with very little time to prepare and sent on her way to protect the prince of a small country.I don't want to give too much away so I will end my review here, but if you have not read this please grab it now, you are definitely missing out.

SUSPENSE, HOTTIES, AND SPIES OH MY!!!
GUYS, are you looking for something that is a little bit crazy, fun, suspenseful, and full of more hotties? THEN, Spy Girl is totes the book for you. This is another thrilling, full of surprises book from the very talented Author Jillian Dodd.Author Jillian Dodd really knows how to write strong heroins. If you have read The Keatyn Chronicles Series and the That Boy Series you know how strong both Keatyn and JJ are. And Huntley is just as strong and full of amazing, as those two are. Of course there is the running pattern of BA heroines in her books, but I really feel that Huntley is my fave....eeek, I know. But Huntley is everything these two heroines aren't. GUYS, she is a SPY. I know, crazy, right? She has this aura about her and it shines bright and it calls out to everyone. Not just that, she is charming and knows how to work a crowd.Like I said, Huntley is a Spy. She is fresh out of schooling from Blackwood Academy, the most prestigious Spy training in existence, and sent on her first "secret mission," to Montrovia. And what if I told you that her "secret mission" included a hottie Prince that she had to protect? And gahhh.....this hottie Prince Lorenzo is adorable and also a little cocky, but I loved that about him. He shows a slight vulnerability when he is around Huntley, and of course he has no idea that she is a spy, sent to protect him and to fend off any vicious attacks, should there be any.Chemistry is key for any hero and heroin, because without that a story would lack. In Spy Girl, that chemistry is off the charts. It literally pulses off of the pages, you can feel all of the wants, desire, and feelings that Huntley and Prince Lorenzo share. They are both full of many surprises, and they all are both witty and downright fun. I loved the way these two meshed. Even though, there is some sort of "trouble" lurking around, Huntley outdoes herself. She will surprise you on many levels. I can't say much more, because I think this is a book you need to really experience and feel for yourself.....Just know you are in for all the surprises!I have to say, this book is unlike anything I have ever read. The suspense that is loaded throughout the story, really kept me on my toes. And not just that, the idea of trying to figure this book out, did too. I tried so hard to figure out what the twists and turns were going to be. Author Jillian Dodd, really packed this book full of all things awesomesauce. Seriously, expect the unexpected. Because once you think you know something, you really don't. Hahah. I think that is why I loved this book so much. I have been a huge fan of JD for the past four years, and with every release her stories pull me in farther, into her vortex of greatness. If you're looking for a book so different than the usual and something to keep you on your toes, READ, I repeat READ, SPY GIRL.

Fun and Engrossing
I had an impossible time putting this book down. The characters are colorful and I loved Spy Girl! The story was fun and though I usually don't do international intrigue this book was a great exception. Jillian Dodd, you hit the mark!

Couldn't finish it
DNF @ 10%I didn't like this book, or the little that I read of it.It just seemed a bit too spy cliché - being sent out on 'missions', needing to burn notes as soon as the information is memorized ect... The book might have gotten better if I had read further into the story but I couldn't do it. I need a story that is going to grab my attention and make me want to read until the end but this book just didn't do that. Even though this is the first book I have tried to read by this author, my not liking it doesn't put me off of possibly trying another of their books in the future.

A fast moving and lively storyline based around secret organisations, spies, assassins and espionage.
Spy Girl is like a cross between Nikita and James Bond. Set in a country not too dissimilar to Monaco, this story is flamboyant and decadent as the spy girl heroine finds herself living alongside royalty in an attempt to save the principalities Prince from assassination.Having been trained from a child, Huntley, as she is now known, has revenge fixed firmly in her future as she is determined to kill the person who killed her mother. Assuming her parents were innocent victims, Huntley is shocked to find that her parents were also spies and she now finds that it was because of the secrets that they held which made them a target. With an attractive spy, come lots of attractive suitors and Huntley finds herself struggling with her feelings towards two men, in particular, one of which is the prince. With the prince keen to make Huntley his princess, Huntley finds it difficult to focus on her mission at times but alongside her brother, she knows that she must keep the prince safe at all costs. This was an interesting start to this series and a quick and enjoyable read. It was lighthearted despite the dangers and violence, which was kept to a graphic minimum. The sex scenes were more inferred than explicit making this story suitable for all ages. The scenes were captivating and intriguing and although not heavy on the drama, the story was still highly enjoyable. A strong and determined heroine is always a must read for me and I can't wait to read on.

Great Read, thoroughly recommend.
Great book, a young. female James Bond, without his upper-crust attitudes and disdain for women, what's not to like? Not top-notch literature but well written and contains plenty of fast paced action, moving so quickly it's easy to suspend disbelief. While sex occurs, it is not in overly dramatic and graphic detail. I found the heroine to be a well fleshed-out individual with, despite her intrepid approach to her job, enough issues in her life to be a genuine 3D character, rather than the cardboard cut-out that is James Bond. I enjoyed the book and am looking forward to reading the next in the series. How long before there is a film as well?

Intriguing start to the series
Known by her undercover name, Huntley, is on her first mission after intensive training covering everything from martial arts to parkour. More deadly than a ninja, Huntley is the best of the best. Drawn into espionage following the death of her parents, Huntley is driven by her thirst for revenge. However, nothing is as it initially appears. Revelations are scattered through the narrative suggesting Huntley's identity goes a lot deeper than first impressions suggest. With secret government departments and conspiracy theories adding to the tension within the plot, it's an action packed thrill ride.Huntley is a fantastic and complex character, on the one hand she is a deadly spy while on the other she is a woman learning to navigate her way in relationships she has been previously told to avoid. I really liked her, although I don't particularly like the casual attitude to relationships but that is personal preference. People seem to be drawn to Huntley, there is just something about her that makes people want to be around her.The peripheral characters are all unique and interesting but with hidden depths you can't wait to uncover. Nothing and no-one is what they seem. There are a few chapters within the narrative told in third person from a different viewpoint adding to the intrigue and suspense. With so many unanswered questions and no date with which to get answers, it' is going to be a slow torture waiting for Book 2.

A Prince and Spy Girl what's not to love
Very enjoyable read, I like all the characters but could not envision them as their wasn't much detail about them. I like the story plot it was different and intriguing, don't want to say too much because of spoilers. Finished the book within a few days which is always good. It wasn't a short book, I didn't want to put it down to find out what happens. Overall, very well written and pleasantly surprised.
