Worth Every Penny. You'll be Glad You Bought Them.
Ok, so when I first saw these, I thought, "Thank goodness, finally a protein bar that doesn't have nuts in it that's still Paleo." Then I saw the price. THEN I saw all the great reviews. I'm not one to be a cheapskate about food usually (I think it's one of the most important investments we can make in our lives, to put the right things into our bodies), but I still felt a bit old WHAT IF about the bars. I put them in my cart in the "Save for later" section and kept going back each pay day to decide if I was ready to invest and take the plunge. Finally I did. I was pretty excited about getting them, as it was such a build up. But they came quickly as I am lucky enough to live only a few hours away from where they're made here in my state - Texas. What I'll tell you first is that MariAnn is very thorough and provides great service, making sure to let you know how to get the best out of receiving the bars and storing them. She wrote personal notes on many of the things in my package which was both informative and a delight. They were in great shape when I received them. They were still cold and had been delivered to my apartment complex office, so they had been kept safely in the AC.Each bar is wrapped with care, tightly. When you open it up, there's something about the way it's wrapped that just seems like someone gave a hoot about the quality of the product and the production itself. Even the plastic they're wrapped in seems to be the right thing so you don't get the entire bar stuck to the wrapping. When I took my first bite, the deal was sealed. Yes I will keep buying these. No, they are not overpriced. You get what you pay for, and considering that I pay about $2.50 a piece for protein bars at the store, another dollar or so isn't at all unreasonable for this level of quality, care, and TASTE.They are DELICIOUS. I feel like I shouldn't be eating them, but I should! Great feeling for someone like me who is on a diet of extremely limited sugar (where I can't even eat much fruit). The Macarooned is the flavor I got and it tastes like coconut cream pie and a macaroon mixed together. It's just pure, creamy, coconutty deliciousness. These are gonna be the light of my low-sugar Paleo life and I reaaaaaally needed something like this to keep me going (nearly zero sugar plus nearly zero fruit wears on you!). But these are a joy.Spend the money and try these out. You'll be glad you did.

OH YUM! Delicious! Ridiculously awesome!!!
Oh YUM! I got my package really, really fast. There was an ice pack, and the bars were still quite cold. So, normal people would wait to try one at a time, one each day, one-half a day, or whatever normal people do. I dug in. Yummy! Since it is a pack of different kinds, I was trying to find a favorite. I couldn't. In fact, my favorite is whatever I am eating at the very moment. I was planning on having problems with the packaging (the film wrapping) but it was substantial, and easy to remove, especially when the bars are chilly. Yes, they are filling! Yes, they are expensive for a sweet bar, but ,.,, oh! so worth it. I will be ordering again, and am thinking of NEVER being without at least one on hand at all times, probably for the rest of my life. I also loved the fact that I got a personalized "Thank You" from whomever made, and packaged them. Thank you right back, and Oh YUM! Did I mention that these are delicious? I am thinking of getting a bar right after I write this, too. PLUS... I cannot have sugary stuff, it makes my heart flutter, these do NOT. Oh, I am loving my life right now.

Tasty and homemade, but inconvenient
PROS- Taste pretty good. I liked the "ChunkyChoco Walnut" flavor best (which is not the product on this page). The "Coconut Rage" was my next favorite, but it and the "Macarooned" flavors (the two flavors on this page) both have shredded coconut and I get tired of that stuff fast.- Nice texture, in particular. This is particularly the case if you heat them slightly, as recommended in the product insert.- Customer service is lovely. She includes a handwritten note with each batch, and they're wrapped and shipped with tremendous care.CONS- The wrappers are a bit of a project, to get open. It's not bad once you learn to peel off the label first, which allows it all to open nicely. But I tried cutting into it originally, since it wouldn't just tear open, and that didn't go well.- They don't last as long as most bars. In one place I read that they last for 2 weeks in the fridge and in another place they last for 1 week in the fridge. It's probably good nutritionally that these aren't concocted for a long shelf-life, but it's worth keeping in mind for the convenience factor. If you don't plan to consume them quickly, they have to go in the freezer ... and then are difficult to eat quickly.- They're expensive.- I wasn't as overjoyed with the flavor as most reviewers here. They do taste wholesome and homemade in a way that's fairly rare. It's worth a try, if this sounds like your cup of tea. I hope she'll come up with new chocolate paleo flavors. And I'll happily try them, if she does. But overall, given the price, the inability to store them outside the fridge or freezer, and the just-good flavor, I'll stick to my standby, which lately is the Primal Kitchen Dark Chocolate Almond Bars .Over the years I've also really enjoyed the flavor of the Quest Brownie Bars and (despite the slippery coconut oil around them and their questionable glycemic effects) the Julian Bakery Almond Fudge Bars .

Spectacular!!
These protein bars are so delicious you think your not eating something good for you. I almost gave up trying to find a protein bar that didn't leave you thinking why do I bother wasting money on something that leaves an after taste and you can taste the" not good for you ingredients". These bars taste like what you would make at home. You can taste the goodness in these. The best is that you can freeze them and always have them available. They taste great even right out of the frig. Their a little pricey but not overly since other bars are up there. Try them you won't be disappointed! The delivery is also super fast. Very well packaged.
