Simplifies your Quilting
Simplifies your Quilting. This is a good quality spray, keeps your batting, backing and top in place without causing any sticky residue on your needle. Makes machine quilting, making tight swirls and circles easy to do. When youโre done your back is just as smooth as can be without adding any pins or hand basting. I would never try to do a Quilt again without it. If you check prices this is probably half the price for the same product that you would pay in a fabric or quilting store. Heat bond is a quality manufacturer.

Works great
I use this spray adhesive for all my quilting needs. I find when I use it I go a little light and this does not gum up my needle very much but holds all of my layers together for quilting.

Better than expected hold, goes a LONG way
Works better than I expected. Holds tight, and doesn't smell too bad. (It does have a smell, however that reminds me of Desenex Foot Powder.) There is a slight learning curve to using the spray. Mainly, don't use too much in a small area, hold the spray can at least a foot above the fabric to be sprayed and place the next piece on as soon as possible. It remains tacky for several minutes. Also, you can lift off and replace pieces but you have to be very careful not to stretch the diagonal grain because they can stick VERY tightly. I had one piece get crumpled and wrinkled and found the best thing to do is DON'T TRY TO STRAIGHTEN it without completely lifting it up. You can't pull it back straight, you must take the glued piece off and then re-set it. I have paid more than this for other quilting sprays and only got one side glued to the batting, and half the front. This little can has allowed me to applique the entire front, stick the backing to the batting, stick the front to the batting, stick the quilting paper to the front, and it is still at least half full. The only reason I gave it four instead of five stars is that contrary to the package claims it does indeed create little gummy balls on the needle after time. They clean off easy enough, but they are there.

Quilting glue
This is amazing. Holds as you use hand stitches or even a sewing machine. Perfect for Minky fabric. I love how easy it is to use and how strong it holds

For Assembling Textile Projects
I bought this initially to help me assemble some trivets and bread basket liners I was making, and it works very well for that purpose. For the bread basket liners, I stitched around 3 sides, sprayed one side, placed the batting on it and pressed it in place, and it stayed while I turned it right side out and topstitched. Then, I helped a friend cut out about a million tiny little pieces for a project she was making, and we sprayed the pattern pieces, then glued them to the felt to be cut. I have to say, it worked like a charm! It would have been impossible to pin those pieces, some of which were 1/2" x 4" or 1" x 2", and cut accurately. This does dry out after a time, and it will come out in the washer. It's a great item, and I've purchased it a couple of times for projects I made during this holiday season. One thing to note is that you should put your project on paper before you spray it, because it's a real pain to take off your table or counter: I had to scrape it off my counter the first time, so now I only spray with newspaper under my project.

Great for floating embroidery projects
As someone who only took up machine embroidery a year ago, I was struggling with hooping projects for optimal results. I read all the pros and cons of using adhesive spray on the hoop for floating projects and decided to give it a try. Therm O Web Spray N Bond Quilt Basting Adhesive Spray holds fabric securely in place for embroidery and now I always float my embroidery projects rather than hooping them. To avoid any errant spray, I place the hoop with marked stabilizer in a cardboard box and cover the edges of the hoop with a plastic template cut out for that purpose. I have been using this spray for eight months and have had no problem with spray accumulation on my machine or needles. This spray works well for floating embroidery and a little goes a long way.
