AVONWash-Off Waterproof Mascara -Black

I’m 41 and have spent a little over 20 years in search of the perfect mascara. Waterproof is super important to me, yet I’ve found with every other brand I’ve tried, they tend to make my eyelashes clump together, becomes grainy/flaky and irritate my sensitive eyes. I’m familiar with Avon (80s/90s kid) so when I found this particular one here on Amazon, I thought I’d give it a shot. Let me tell you, this stuff is a total game changer. It doesn’t feel super dry, doesn’t flake even after hours of wearing, if I happen to rub my eye because I forget I’m wearing makeup, it still stays in plays and looks good. Definitely waterproof. It feels as if I’m not wearing any mascara and makes my aging eyelashes appear long and full. It also doesn’t dry out super fast in the bottle, unlike most I’ve used. I’m always shocked when I go to apply it at how long it’s stayed fresh. My eyelashes don’t feel super dry/brittle to the touch when it’s on, either. I even like the applicator. It’s simple, but covers my lashes well, even in the tight outer corners of my eyes. Washes off easily with face wash or micellar water + cotton round. Bottom line, I didn’t think the perfect waterproof mascara existed, but this is definitely close if not just that.

I had previously ordered something that said it was Avon… but it was made in China and clumpy. THIS was what I used to get from the Avon Lady - GOOD STUFF! ❤️

I’ve used this mascara for years! It always looks great and makes your lashes stand out. The best thing I love is that it washes off with just water.

I always try to buy these because it doesn't smudge down onto the lower eyelids and it comes off readily at the end of the day--not like many other brands. HOWEVER ... this brand, like most that I have tried, only comes in black now. Some time ago I was able to get it in brown and later in black-brown. Now only black. Aren't there any more blondes out there? So, I have to order black--and what a black! It's thick and gunky and I have to roll the brush in tissue paper to remove the excess before trying to get a LITTLE color on my pale lashes. This, of course, uses up the gunk in a hurry. Oh well, I guess this is just another instance of "New And Improved"! C'mon Avon, put us pale-complected customers back in the picture.

This used to be my favorite, but product seems to have changed. It was dry and clumpy. Maybe the product was old.

I thought I was ordering two for that price it should have been two I love the Avon wash off waterproof product but the picture was very deceiving I would not have paid over $17 for only one.

As with most products I purchase I do quite a bit of research prior to purchasing and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised how much I actually like this mascara. So many waterproof mascaras smudge even though they say they do not or flake, causing eye irritation. This has not been the case thus far. I found it to be easy to apply and did not experience the standard raccoon eyes that I have in the past with all forms of waterproof mascara (both expensive and inexpensive). For the price, this is an excellent option for everyday use. Also, I have very short eyelashes and often find that mascara brushed are shaped so thick that it makes it impossible for me to put mascara on without getting it on all over my eyelids. Although not a super skinny applicator, the brush was slender enough and manageable enough that I was able to apply without much difficulty. Also, I found that it comes off much easier than most other waterproof mascaras. I do not have to wash my face twice to get the mascara off. So happy to find a product that goes on and comes off the way that it is advertised!
