Works Great--As Long as You're Willing to Do Surgery
I inherited an old Nikon lens whose tabs on the bayonet mount had snapped off. I figured I'd rather spend ten bucks and try to repair it myself before I spent 90 bucks on a new lens. I'm glad I did. This part was exactly what my Nikkor 18-55mm lens needed. The first time I tried installing this part, the auto-focus didn't work when I mounted the lens on the camera. I took the lens back apart and found that the the screw holding a wire hadn't been screwed in quite enough. I reassembled the lens and the auto-focus worked perfectly. This is a surgical procedure. It takes some dexterity and a few tools to do this job right. I used a jeweler's screwdriver set and a small pair of needle-nose pliers to do the job. The pliers were to hold the screws, which are REALLY small. As you remove them, take note of where each screw went. There are several different sizes that MUST go back in their original holes. The part works perfectly if you get everything put back together EXACTLY as it was without damaging anything else. So before you buy, watch a couple internet videos on how to replace the part. There are several good videos and blog posts online that will walk you through the repair. See if this really is the kind of thing you want to do yourself.

Worked perfectly to fix my broken 55-200mm Nikkor lens
It worked for me! My lens had suffered a fall, but this was the only part that was damaged so I put myself to the challenge of repairing it myself. Overall it was pretty easy-- just had to take my time because there are a lot of tiny screws and little metal plates after you take this part off. I used a screwdriver from an eyeglass repair kit to take everything apart and then attach this new one. Glad I could find this part and repair my lens!

Flimsy But Just Good Enough
Material feels very flimsy and weaker than the stock broken one than I was replacing... Easy enough to install using YouTube tutorials, although you will need an extremely small precision screwdriver set - I had to go buy a new set, could only find a cheap one, and the steel was barely strong enough to loosen the screws in the lens.

Installation videos are great!
We saved a $200 repair by attempting this ourselves. Took about an hour and a lot of patience working with delicate parts. Very pleased with the product. It was a perfect fit.

This bayonet ring does not work for a Nikon AF-S DX lens
The bayonet ring on my 18-55 lens was broken so I ordered this. 2 main fault mean that this bayonet ring doesn't work: 1. it has only two tabs (rather than three) to hold in place the inner ring. 2. the two holes for the screws that fix the electric lens connector to the bayonet ring are too large for the original Nikon screws. The simply fall out (and can get the lens stuck to the body...) Do NOT buy this bayonet ring. The quality is mediocre at best, but mostly it just doesn't work. Maybe the 2024 production has gone downhill as other people had good experiences in years prior?

Fits but a bit lower quality plastic
Fixed my lens however it's clear that this is a bit softer and maybe not reinforced plastic. Will remain to be seen if it's as durable but I wouldn't hesitate to replace with the same if needed.

Had been sad about breaking my lens. Fixed this one up myself, with some videos online. And it worked :) Only issue being the time taken to deliver, but since its is imported upon order, that is expected.

Helped me to fix my broken attachment on my lens. I am very happy with the result and how sturdy it is.

Product as advertised. Fit perfect. Replaced my damaged one. Job was tedious, but that's not related to seller or product but the nature of the lens. Def a more advanced process then novice.
