Works great. Definitely worth the money. Way better than the dough hook that kitchen aid gives you. Better at grabbing the dough. Feels like it requires more power, but as I go deeper into bread making I realized that kitchenaid mixers need more power for bread. Kitchen aid mixers feel like they’re made for cakes not bread. Make sure you get the right one for your machine. If it’s scraping your bowl, you have to adjust the height. It’s as simple as loosening or tightening a screw. Lookup how to do it.

I've used this for a few batches of bread now, and I've been happy with how it works. Fits my mixer well and I haven't had to adjust it at all. My old one was scratched and testing has shown that several of those old attachments have lead, so I wanted to replace it with stainless steel. I'll probably replace my other attachments with this brand as well. Kitchen Aid doesn't even make this piece in stainless steel for my mixer, so I was happy to find this (and at a lower cost than other Kitchen Aid replacements!)

I have always used the c shaped bread hook with my kitchen aid. The S hook works way better for making bread.

Perfect for my mixer. Works like a charm; wonderfully engineered and designed so that dough does not climb onto it. Kneeling is accomplished quickly and efficiently. I have been looking for something like this for years and now I have one!

This is very well made except it doesn’t lock as tightly as the OEM part. It seems to knock a little. Overall O am happy with it though.

The item seems to made from robust piece of stainless steel and works well with my Kitchen Aide stand mixer and is easy to clean. Once you adjust the height of the hook in the bowl (instructions provided) this design sems to efficiently develop the gluten in several recipes I tried so far.

I make a loaf of bread every Sunday and have been using the dough hook included with my KitchenAid Artisan 5-quart tilt head. I had to try this one after seeing reviews on better dough hooks.This spiral dough hook shortened my mixing time in half and got my bread into the oven quicker, which was a big plus. The first picture is after the first use, and this was a breeze to clean, being polished stainless steel. The second picture is the loaf it ended up mixing today. This hook did seem to make my mixer work harder, which is concerning but adjusting the speed is very easy on these mixers.As mentioned in a previous review, you will need to adjust the height of your mixer attachment, which is lower for this product than all of the standard attachments you get with your original mixer purchase. Please keep that in mind if you need to use any of the standard attachments. You will need to raise the height of those. You can easily find this adjustment information by searching for KitcheAid adjust attachment height in your favorite search engine.
