Extra Large Treasure Chest Plain Wooden Box Wood Keepsake Memory Gift Box DECOUPAGE Craft Art

Purchased this box as a keep sake box to store family documents and sentimental papers. I decided to wood stain it and finish it with spray lacquer. The box came up quite nicely, however I have now owned it less than 6 months and its been open and shut no more than 20 times and both the back hinges have broke and pulled out of the wood and the front latch has bent out of shape. This is very disappointing as due to the nature of its usage, no rough or heavy handling has been done. Very disappointed on the quality of the hardware considering the price. Would not order again. Its quite a nicely made box and stores A4 documents flat but the hardware (hinges and latch) are cheap rubbish.

I've given 4 stars rather than 5 because a decent hinge would make this box better. It's just little nails, so extra care needs to be taken when opening the box, other than that, I fitted a lot more in the box than I thought I would, thank you. It's our Christmas Eve goody box now xx

Really disappointed timber poor quality and split on top. Hinges aren’t fitted properly (mainly because if they fit peperly they would stick out inside the box) the hinges have already split the timber, so wouldn’t be long before the hinge came lose.

Lovely wooden chest, being used as a memory keepsake box. Wood seems strong and the box is well made, at a decent size. I intend to paint it as it's probably a bit too plain as it is. But does the job perfectly.

Terribly built, the first time I opened it the hinge snapped the wood on the back, and I can't open it fully with out it snapping off completely.Mine is currently full of broken dreams and sadness.

Excellent quality. Used wood filler to fill the fine gaps on the lid and sanded down. Added wooden letters and hearts to make them into a treasure box for my grand Childrens Xmas presents. Just what I wanted and very sturdy. Will fit certificates and added a jewellry tray.

A simple well made box for the price (this isn’t top quality wood, but the price reflects that). I bought this for my daughter to paint, glitter-up, draw on .... and then use as a fun treasure chest.

This product should taken off from sale as it's awful. The hinges broke when opened, they are not screwed in, instead they are like pinned in.The lock didn't work and was half coming off.It's probably worth about £3.00

used as part of a birthday gift, painted with acrylic paint and looks brilliant. It's a really good size and is well made. It looks lovely.

This is a lovely piece handmade piece - Me and my boyfriend wanted something to start storing our memories and this is perfect - the size if brilliant so you can fit mounts in there! The only downside we found was the catch was slightly out of line so you have to shift it slightly to close it - but other than that - the quality is brilliant

I purchased this for a show the stage school I run is putting on in November. It's really well made and just what we needed. It's going to become part of the set for Little Mermaid Jr. Item arrived in very good time and was well packaged.

This box was bigger than i thought it was going be even though i'd looked at the measurements. So that was 1st good thing its sturdy and well made and just what i needed to hold keepsakes from our wedding a few months back. I'm starting to decorate it as a new project on my days off when the weathers not to good. Overall love it.
