Great replacement item
Item work perfectly for my acoustic electric classical!. the factory input was complete garbage, so I needed something good and this one arrived quickly and it was installed within the hour of receiving it.

This is actually a TRRS jack. It can replace a TS or TRS jack. Good tight grip on the plug.
This has a good tight fit. It is actually a TRRS. Tip, Ring, Ring2, Shield. It has 3 terminals plus the Shield, four in total. Ring2 gets connected to Shield when a TS or TRS plug is inserted. Since 1/4" TRRS plugs are not common and AFAIK not used in guitars, you can just ignore the Ring2 terminal, or connect it to shield for a little extra contact with the shield.

Great Accessory
I was tired of coiling up the attached cable from the pickup I installed on my acoustic guitar and tucking it inside and pulling it out of the sound hole. There were no instructions included with the end pin jack so I had to determine the pinout. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is that the tip’s solder connection was located next to the sleeve extension which secured the cable, making it difficult to solder.

Worked Great on my Gibson Songwriter!
No sound from guitar with instrument cable plugged all the way in...have to pull cable out app.1/4" to 3/8" to get connection. UPDATE-I purchased one & gave a bad review after a guy installed it & it wouldn't work unless the instrument cable was 1/3 out of jack. Amazon sent another one & after ohm meter testing it was determined that a wire was not on the correct terminal causing the problem. Redirected wire to the correct terminal & it worked as it should!

It has more connections than expected but it works and looks cool… you have to make sure you’re connecting the right pin.
