Does the job--though gets really hot
It vented the exhaust from my Ford Explorer idling for over a half hour, though it got really soft when it got hot. Be careful handling or even touching when it's been in use for a while. But it did the job and hardened up again when it finally cooled down and seems fit to use again. Make sure you get the right diameter exhaust hose for your vehicle, though--neither a 3" nor a 2" diameter hose would have worked well, though I had to search to find the proper 2.5" diameter hose for my exhaust pipe.

No more coughing on exhaust fumes in my garage!
The 2.5 inches represents the INSIDE DIAMETER for exhaust hoses (it took me a while to figure this out before ordering)The hose does wonders pulling diesel exhaust out of the garage. After running my Bobcat tractor in the garage for ten minutes, I can barely smell any diesel exhaust at all. Before buying this hose, the whole garage would fill will exhaust in only a couple of minutes and it would take hours with the bay door and windows open to clear out all of the smoke.I thought about other ideas to use some sort of cheaper hose (like vacuum cleaner hose, etc), to pull the exhaust, but this is the only hose rated for the temperature of the exhaust, anything else would melt.I deducted one star because the tubing wall isn't quite as thick as I had hoped and you need to be a little careful not to pull the hose to tight and kink it (apply a gradually curve when routing it out the door).

The product itself is fine - once I received the proper size
The product itself is fine - once I received the proper size. I had originally ordered a 3" hose and a 3" port for the door. It suggested the 3" crushproof hose as a compatible match for this port. It wasn't! I was able to return the 3" hose but had to pay the $16. + return shipping.

GREAT!!!
My antique car is in a small garage. Engine needs a valve job, ergo the exhaust is a bit stinky. It is cold outside, and I need to work inside the garage (unheated) while my car warms up -- SO -- I attach this hose to my exhaust pipe before I run my car - turn on the engine, decide which way the wind is blowing and run the hose outside, in the direction of the wind. Eleven feet of redirected exhaust saves the day.

Failed on first use.
Not up to the job. Hose melted and failed where connected to exhaust pipe.

Crushproof?
Serves the intended purpose, but I am not really sure how they got the name crushproof.
