The Most Classical 365 Bedtime Stories (Spring) (Chinese Edition)

This is a great children's book for reading practice. The stories are short and perfect for bedtime reading. The pages and nice and colourful with cute graphics and feel nice to the touch. The book is designed for parents fluent in Chinese to read to their kids. It's best suited for kids around 4-5 who might be starting to read Chinese. The highlighted words with pinyin are great prompts for the parent to explain the new vocabulary or talk about the meaning. At the end of every story there are 1-2 questions to discuss the story with your child. If you can't read Chinese, this is not the book for you. It does not contain any English at all.I'm a parent with mediocre Chinese and learning to read myself. I find this a perfect level for my own learning so I can teach my kids and myself at the same time.Other reviewers have mentioned the book calls characters names or has inappropriate content. I will say, it's a Chinese book from China. It's written with Chinese culturalisms. It's perfectly appropriate in children's books to label characters as the smart one, the dumb one, the beautiful one, the bad one, the lazy one, the hardworking one, ect. It's also ok for the bad guy to die at the end of the story because they're the bad guy (the wolf dies in the 3 little pigs story). So if you find that disturbing, don't buy Chinese books, buy westernized Chinese books.

Book is in great quality with nice graphics. Did not count if there are actually 365 stories but it has a good list of fables. A total of 209 pages, most are 1 page long, some 2-3 pages long.I wanted a story book in traditional chinese for my child but it seemed to be very hard to find, so I'm happy with this one in simplified chinese. There are only pinyins for harder vocabularies, so readers should be fairly proficient in Chinese in order to fully enjoy this book.

The stories are classical and useful for teaching kids about good values. The illustrations are cute and relevant.

Smells like it was doused in laundry detergent. Has such a strong smell that I'm sending it back.

My son likes it not a too long story and got a pictures but if the book can make it bigger that will be nicer

I like the graphics of the book. The stories seem to be good too. I included the table of contents so folks can see them. I wished there were more pictures posted prior to purchasing too. There are no pin yin in the book even though there are are on the cover. I was highly disappointed since I was hoping to use that to help me read to my little one. I took two stars off for no pin yin. My book also came a bit tattered because of the packaging... only an envelope. Since my little one will most likely tear it apart anyways I didn't take a star off.

Cute book. I know it's too early but I read it to my new born baby everyday.
