***It's crap - doesn't work on windows 10*** - EDIT - It's magic - WORKS on windows 10
OLD REVIEW (It's crap - doesn't work on windows 10..... )( Will not log me in... )(Really bad compared to the surface book Hello camera. ....(Every update to windows 10 kills the drivers )( .…. etc )OK, So I was pretty harsh. That is what I get by being an early adopter. At the time I bought this, the only way to use a camera to log into windows with your face was to buy the new Surface Book. (Yes I preordered the MS Surface book. Being extremely impressed with the new Windows Hello functionality, I searched for a way to do the same on my desktop. The only solution I could find at the time was the Tobi 4c. While the 4c was made for people who don't have the use of their hands, it also promised to work with "Hello" to log in to my PC. I had a hell of a time getting it to do that. As a Windows insider on the fast track, I was getting almost daily updates to Windows. While there were some updates that got the Tobi working, others broke it again. Eventually Microsoft updates got it working reliably. I have to conclude that the problems were due to the fact that face recognition was new at the time. Since Hello introduced MS drivers for face recognition, they sometimes even caused problems with the eye tracking. After buying the Tobie 4c, I tried other face recognition cameras. I had similar problems with them. Recently I got a couple HD, USB 3.1 cameras with Windows Hello capability, (3d IR face scanning) and had no problems getting them to work with Windows 10. However, they do not do Eye tracking. so,,, I moved the Tobi 4c to my latest computer build. It worked flawlessly first time. !!! magical !!!My apologies for not updating this review earlier. As a personal rule, I don't usually bother with bad reviews. I broke my own rule in this case, and really regret it.I'd like to add that this is a really wonderful product and a really great company. I'd like to thank David Gaal at Tobi Tech support, who never gave up on me and followed through. Such attention to customer support is rare these days.BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! You won't regret it!

Has a slight learning curve to get the tuning right for you, but then feels like a seamless feature of the game.
After about 6 months or so of using this, simulations that don't utilize the Tobii have actually taken on a claustrophobic feeling to me. Once I got this adjusted to my own natural movements, looking around a cockpit feels very natural and I rarely notice much jitter or jumps. It did take several attempts to get the settings just right for me, I found that reducing the eye tracking sensitivity while increasing the head tracking worked best. I've only used this for Elite Dangerous and The Forest, but both have integrated the functionality quite well.My biggest complaint is that occasionally it seems to stop working until I go to the website and download the newest firmware/software update. An auto update setting for that would be nice. The infrequent occurrences of this and the ease of resolving them have kept this complaint from effecting the rating.Other infrared sources in the room can negatively impact the performance of this as I have found out with a camera I installed above my monitor. One last note, I have a television that is significantly larger (by about 12 - 15'') than the developers recommended sizes and since I have gotten settings adjusted I have had no issues with the tracking on such a large screen. When I first got the device it did have some issues with the large tv and I had to avoid looking at the corners of it to prevent jitter. Since update 2.7 however, I haven't noticed this issue anymore.

My time with, Tobii eye C4...
Was a wonderful new product. With amazing technology in its simple little sensor bar which you mount below your screen.I do not know how it's able to track my eyes as well as it does. But it does well, in both well lit and poor light settings. I dare say it's magic.....While the system/product is fairly new and exciting technology (only second generation). Keep in mind, the current library of compatible games is limited when compared to veteran products like TrackIR5. But I expect this to grow over time, but not sure of how fast or often older games will be added. More likely to see newer games as they release. Just something to keep in mind...The user interface is really friendly, when you set it up. Each game also uses its own profile/ setting for how the product acts when a game is running.Keep in mind this product is at its heart, eye tracking first with head tracking second. So where ever your eyes are focused your screen will center around that. While that sounds ideal, I noticed my eyes counter acting the screen shifting. So I get into these moments where I am fighting the tracking. (Maybe I didn't setup my glaze tracking correctly. It is possible.) Another problem I had personally, was how well the tracking worked. It followed my every blink. Which as you could imagine affected game play.I would like to the company include the ability to turn off eye tracking while keeping the head tracking active. (Just a thought..)That said, I personally could not get this product to work exactly how I wanted it to, or with my library of games (had only a few I could test for this review.)I am excited to see where this technology goes with its updates and future generations of products. But I would wait a tab bit longer.
