Cajokick - Digital Stomper

We’re using this as a supplement to add some flavor to a real cajon. We have two of the Cajokicks. We’re mostly using the high hat, splash, handclaps and the more exotic percussion sounds. With the right amount of drum room reverb and some pretty heavy compression, the samples sit in the mix just fine. The samples are not super convincing by themselves but with other instruments, they’re more than adequate. We run the pedals in to a Radial passive DI > mixer. Again, pretty heavy verb and compression.
