This is a great pouch. I use it to carry my insulin and lancets with glucometer. It works great. I carry all that I need, spare glucose strips, spare insulin needles, extra lancets and a field notes notebook and space pen to keep track of my sugar levels. This pouch fits perfectly in my work bag or strapped with the moly attachments to my backpack. The hard cover gives added protection. It is more like a tough rubber cover. It is still slightly flexible. the back is 500 denier nylon. It is very tough and does a great job protecting my meds.

Great Little Organizer!
I love this organizer! It's just the right size too. I use it with my Maxpedition Edgepeak bag, along with the Maxpedition Daily Essentials Pouch. It's got plenty of room and the hard face offers some extra protection for any fragile items you might need to stash.

A max disappointment
Rather disappointed since it cares the maxpedition name. Might have been made on a Monday or something. I don't know just expected a little better quality. The stitching on the back and sides are a little off which then cause the zipper to stick.

Came missing tac-tie clips
The pouch itself is great and works well for organizing my every day items like power cords, lights, tools etc. Three stars for it coming without the included molly compatible clips. Now I’ll have to buy clips separately for 12$. Pretty disappointing, given that my main purpose for buying this particular one was the clips and it’s ability to attach to my molly webbing on my other packs.

I like it, but...
It has hard shell on the left side of the pouch, so you don't need to organize it, just simply dump any small items inside it, and not worry getting them damaged which I love it as for some items you just can't organize them well. My only problem is on the right side of pouch, they could put more elastic belts like vequest in order to better organize items.

Solid EDC pouch....
I have long been a fan of Maxpedition pouches and own several of the older ones which are now part of what they call ‘the legacy range’. These pouches are the best made and most durable you can find and real attention has been paid to the internal features to help you organise your gear and make it easy to get to and use on a daily basis. After a recent upgrade to my EDC bag to one from the Advanced Gear Research (AGR) range I decided to buy the ERZ to add to the outside of that bag and replace my trusted EDC organiser which has been in daily use for over 3 years. One of the first things you notice about this pouch is the semi rigid moulded front. This gives a fair amount of rigidity to the pouch which is an advantage if you MOLLE it onto the front or side of your bag as it will stand a knock against an object when carrying it. The ERZ opens clam shell style with a left hand side of horizontal loops and zipped pocket and a right side with vertical loop and a large open pocket with the new ARG gossamer material which allows you to see what is inside, but does not have any holes in like a mesh (as stuff can get stuck in the holes). So 10/10 for internal organisation and the ERZ took everything I had in the original pouch with room for more. The zippered pocket on the left is great as stuff is protected on the front by the semi rigid front and you can just keep on adding stuff without running out of space. The interior material is a lighter colour and makes finding things in lower light much easier than the legacy material which is darker. On the back is the laser cut PALS for MOLLE attachment which Maxpedition call the ATLAS system (ATtachment LAttice System). And included are two tac ties which allow the pouch to be attached to any existing PALS which is great as most makes (including Maxpedition in the legacy range) does not include them. I am still getting used to the Tac Ties which are a unique Maxpedition design. They are rock solid once you get them attached but they are a TPU material rather than the nylon used in most molle so are more rigid and less easy to weave through each loop of the PALS.. I attached the ERZ to my ruck sack and then wanted to detach it and it took a fair bit of wrangling to get the clips undone. I would have preferred it to be easier, and maybe I need a better technique and find out exactly where to press; but on the other hand the struggle I had getting the bag detached means it’s not going anywhere once attached and I would take security of fitting over ease of detachment any day. The handle is also laser cut from the same material as the ATLAS, and looks rather flimsy on photographs so I was anxious to see how it worked. In reality it is really solid. To test it I lifted my entire rucksack (weighing over 16Kg) with just that handle and it coped without a problem, it felt like I could probably lift 4 times that weight without any issue. This confirmed my hunch that Maxpedition are not going to put a handle on their products which is not 100% up to the job. They don’t take chances like that. One surprise is the lack of zipper pulls, the first time I think I have seen ‘naked’ zips on any Maxpedition product. They add paracord pulls to the legacy range and the other ARG pouches and bags have their moulded finger pulls in high impact plastic. I love the new moulded finger pulls so would have liked them on this bag, but adding some homemade paracord pulls is a 5 minute job and perhaps Maxpedition left them off to give the bag the sleekest possible appearance. The Maxpedition logo is only added to the back of the pouch which is unusual as normally manufacturers want their logo front and centre. I like the fact the pouch is anonymous as it adds to the sleek look, although if you get one and carry it where it is visible, you can expect people to ask you where you got it and what make it is. The top of the pouch has a velcro area at the top so you can attach morale patches.Overall this is an innovative pouch and will not disappoint you if you want a rock solid piece of gear you can use everyday and use and abuse without worrying about it failing. Like everything Maxpedition makes it is expensive, but this pouch, like most of their stuff, is all but indestructible in everyday usage. The heaviest wear areas are the usual 1000 denier, which drops to 500D ripstop hexagon weave for the lighter wear places (the back of the pouch for instance where the Atlas TPU composite will take a lot of the abrasion during everyday usage. It is treated to make it very water resistant and water just runs off it, so even when carried on the outside of a bag you can be sure the contents will remain dry. Buy a cheaper pouch if you have to, but it will wear out long before this one and the host of innovations here make the price more than worth it.
