An absolute must for the beginner in 3D printing
This book is worth every star I have given it. It covers everything (or as a beginner, I think everything!!) that you need to know, and has stopped me making what might have an expensive mistake. Thanks so much Natalie

Very informative reading
Clear and easily understood language- certainly gave me an insight into the how and why of 3d printing. Also gave me an understanding of which type and model of printer would work best for me.

Apsolute must for anyone wanting to start 3d printing
As a mod for alot of 3d printing groups I've been asked basic setup questions time and the again and have always had to take alot of time explaining how to rectify basics to get machines printing agin. This book covers so much and is a wonderful book to assist with common faults and get an insight of how it works. The author has done a great job and I highly recommend reading this :)

This book is for filament printers. This isn't stated clearly anywhere.
Not for resin 3D printing. Not made clear in the book description.

For folks who haven't tried to 3d print yet but want to start
BLUF: if you haven't purchased a 3d printer yet but might, this is a good intro to help. After that, skip this and all other guide books and become familiar with online forums for print guidance, tips, and learning. This book seems like a decent overview for people about to purchase their first printer and filament. I unfortunately overestimated how helpful it might be with regards to avoiding common print errors and issues. It isn't. I've been printing a few months, and there was nothing in the book I hadn't figured out already from tinkering or quick Internet search. Again, great book for those in the marketand trying to decide on which printer, type of filament, basic things like how to store and handle filament, etc. I gave it 5 stars instead of 4 because, although it promises solutions and tips to printer issues that are too basic to be very useful, it gave me one very important lesson. 3d printing is by and for tinkerers. It's really not the hobby that comes with "how to" instruction guides that are going to be super helpful. All the info is out there on the Internet in forums and such, and the community of tinkerers is all the how-to needed.

Just what I needed
Got a 3D printer for Christmas. Yay! Good printer, but with little documentation. I quickly discovered that there is a definite learning curve to using these things. No problem, borrowed a book from the library like ‘3D printing for people with few brain cells’ - if you can read between the lines. Not helpful at all. A friend came by and gave me a start, but it wasn’t enough. So I downloaded this book on Kindle Unlimited. Wow! This was an easy read, and specific enough to get most people off to a good start. The only thing lacking was a discussion of modifying the Z axis to improve the quality of print. If you search carefully enough, you can find that info on YouTube. Other than that, this book is terrific. Highly recommended for beginners! Have fun printing!
