Scream (MIRAMAX)

Man I love the Scream films.
This remaster is amazing! That weird color filter that was on the regular version has been removed. The 4K transfer is outstanding. Wes would have been proud. My Scream movies collection continues to grow.

Don't let 4 scare you: this one is great!!
So here's my sob story.I was living in Vienna. I was running low on Schillinge (this was before the Euro) and I was feeling low. At this point I thought movies in general a waste of time, especially those that had any hint of commercial success. But I also knew movies cheered me up, and I really needed some cheer. There must have been loads of great movies to see in that metropolis (not to mention live theater, dance, improv, cellar tavern brawls) but for unknown reasons I committed what shall be known as "the mistake."I bought a ticket for Scream...4? I think it was 4. Oh, God, how dreary. A movie at the end of a dying franchise is so pathetic. Neve Campbell looked like she was coming back from rehab. The plot was made out of styrofoam. Forget it. I give lots of movie a second chance, that one I will never watch again unless forced to do so by an act of torture ironic seeing how many torture porn films I've watched. But I digress.Months into my improvised exploration of the horror genre and all its related sub-genres and crossover genres, I realized that there was a reason the franchise lasted that long. The first movie really meant a lot to people, people who had skin in the game then like I do now. I want nothing more than peace, health and wealth for me & my family, and a thriving world horror cinema industry. That's why I get ecstatic over movies like Cabin in the Woods. And that's what Scream must have felt like when first release. You have a genuinely scary killer, a gorgeous leading actress (Neve Campbell), a gorgeous comic foil (Courtney Cox) and a gorgeous "decoy" (Drew Berrymore)—and you've got a script that speaks EXACTLY to the frustrations that fans were having with mainstream and probably even side-stream horror movies back then: boring, predictable, cheap and obviously mercenary. Tired. Worn.Movies, yes, like Scream 4.

Amazing Steelbook To Add To Collection
I purchased this film primarily because it was in 4K and I am in LOVE with the steelbook. Definitely a must have for collectors.

It’s great for now!
I bought this because I really wanted own scream but I wanted a cheap copy and this came in clutch. I know it’s not no special edition or collectors edition but it’s good for now and it does job. I recommend it.

Recommend 4K Title, But...
The 4K release itself is highly recommended; this is a legitimate 4K scan, as opposed to being upscaled from 2K. It's noticeably superior to that of it's original Blu-ray release.**Word of caution, however; especially with regard to collector's: this release only contains the 4K disc & digital code (standard Blu-ray not included). Also, my initial order arrived in a standard clear Blu-ray case -- I'll assume it's a result of shortages, but this isn't mentioned anywhere on the listing. I had to initiate 2 replacements to finally receive the movie with the black 4K UHD case. In light of this being a common trend via unboxing videos, it may be more appropriate to buy this at your local Best Buy or Target. It seems the steelbook is easier to find in store at Best Buy -- that's certainly an alternative if you don't want to chance getting the incorrect case.

Classic Horror Movie in years🎃
The first time I see ghostface terrified me when I was 14 years old. The first one is my most favorite. Scream 3 was ok, but Scream was terrifying when you see ghostface on screen for the first time. Remember the first rule of scary movies. When you watch this movie…never answer your phone😈☠️

FANTASTIC UPGRADE & GREAT FILM!!
⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Delivered to my pick up location of choice promptly via Canada post arrived safely & came with its glossy slipcover as advertised thank you Amazon! Great service ! &Very impressed with the remastering of Scream I had the original 1080i blu ray copy not even 1080p this is like jumping from vhs to blu ray lol huge jump in picture quality! Dts track Sounds great much better then the Dolby digital I previously had. I also own it in 4K which is fantastic but the remastered blu ray is plenty awesome I highly recommend upgrading if you have an older copy of this film. Unfortunately the digital copy is not available to Canadians. I knew this before purchasing it thanks to other customer reviews.

It looks great!
The quality of the upscailing is absolutely great! I have been trying to get my hands on the original Scream for a while now and ordered this copy and it hasn't disappointed
