Remote Control Essential Oil Diffuser, 500ml Ultrasonic Aroma Cool Mist Humidifier with 7 Color Light Changing And 4 Timer Settings

(WARNING- This is an in depth review of this diffuser. I did not get a discount or get it for free. I purchased this as a regular customer. If you prefer to short summary, go to the paragraph labeled THE BOTTOM LINE.)It is funny, five years ago or so, I would have laughed at anyone who suggested a diffuser as being effective in our house. I went from knowing very little about them to becoming a bit of an expert on them so far. It is kind of funny when I think of it.WHY I WANTED THIS DIFFUSERMy daughter was going to stay with relatives to care for them for a while but their house is very oppressive. It has a terrible odor in it that no one could seem to find the source of. She could not bear staying there long. I gave her the diffuser from our bedroom and then realized I really needed one while she was gone. Enter this new diffuser. I wanted one that was bigger and did not have to be filled as often. I also thought that being in the bedroom, it would be nice to have the remote to use on it. HAHA More on that later.WHAT IS THIS DIFFUSER LIKE?This diffuser has a nice solid base to it. You will need some room to run it, however. It takes up about 6 3/8 inches diameter or 16 cm. It is 4 1/2 inches high and that would be around 11 1/2 cm high. The container holds up to 500 ml of water. The top lights up very brightly if you prefer.SETTINGSThe settings are as follows- 10 second intervals (10 on 10 off), 2 hours, 4 hours, and continual (which turns off when empty).CORDThe cord is about 53 inches long and plugs into the bottom of the diffuser. The box that plugs into the outlet is rather large. It is 1 1/2 inches wide, by 2 7/8 inches long and stands out from the wall/outlet another 1 1/2 inches. The prongs are parallel to the long side of the box that plugs into the wall. The prongs are both the same size (not polarized) so you can turn it in two directions if you need to. However, if you use this on a power strip, you will have to have room for it, so a computer strip that has isolated outlets is the way to go. There is a bright blue light on the transformer box that lets you know that the unit has power running to it. It also beeps when you plug it in to let you know it has connected.FLOWYou can turn the top in any direction to direct the flow of the diffuser.REMOTEThe remote is literally the size of a credit card and almost as thin. You will want to put a velcro on it to keep it in a place so you don't lose it or have a really good place to store it. It is very easy to lose or slip behind things. The remote is sealed buttons and very well marked. All of the buttons work very well.LIGHTThe light is very bright and it rotates through the different colors. You can also set the colors to stay where they are. In order to turn off the light, you have to go through the sequence to turn it off, but it is possible to do it that way. You can also hold the light button down for a few seconds and it will turn off. It is possible to turn on the diffuser without the light or the light without the diffuser running.HOW DOES THIS UNIT PERFORM?I have to say that this is probably the most consistent diffuser I have tried, owned, or used. It is consistent and works very well. I use it on the 10 second interval most of the time as our bedroom is not overly large. It is perfect for me who tends to be very sensitive to essential oils. I have to have the intermittent which is perfect. Consistent stream is too much for me.I have had this unit running from full for almost two days- as in 30+ hours on the intermittent setting. I don't generally run it that long, but forgot to turn it off. It does turn off when out of water.The unit is quite, strong, and pushes out a very consistent stream of vapor which can sometimes be a problem for some units.WARNING- ARE YOU KIDDING ME?I was about to think that this was the perfect diffuser finally. All was going so well, and then something happened.There is one problem with this unit that I did not expect. We were watching TV and I wanted to turn the sound up on the TV. I turned the sound up and the TV kept beeping. I was worried that something was wrong. I turned it down and nothing. Then I turned it up and it was beeping again. After a while of frustration, we finally figured it out- the TV remote was making the diffuser go berserk. It only happens on certain buttons.That means we either watch TV too loud or soft, or I get up if I want to change anything. The TV buttons on the actual TV don't cause the problems, only the remote.THE BOTTOM LINEDespite the crazy remote problem, I love this diffuser. It is excellent for a larger room, pushes out consistent vapor, and has the oils last through the entire 400ml and I only have to add more oils on occasion for the last 100ml. Some oils I do not need to add more. The intermittent works for a very long time, and the settings are very convenient.I have to say that this diffuser would be perfect if it did not react to our TV remote. It has everything about it that I wanted in a diffuser. Being able to use it with and without the light, having such great settings, and solid build, this unit is one of my favorites to date.RATINGI want to rate this five stars, but the remote problem is really frustrating. I wish that this had been better shielded so that it did not have this problem. However, it is really a four and a half star rating, but I just could not give it five at this point. I have used this for well over a month now and this is the only frustration I have had with it.UPDATESI will update as people ask questions I might not have thought to answer, or if I have any further experiences with this diffuser to add.

Very loud and doesn’t disperse. I’ve had this a few years now and when we moved I didn’t unpack it right away because I remembered the light drove me bananas... it’s not just the light, this thing sounds like...?? I don’t even know? A loud desk fan? And it drops right out of the air vent and spills out and whatever it’s on it soaks completely even just after a few minutes. I don’t think it’s ever helped me with the dryness in the air. The lights on the bottom don’t go off and even if you cover up with tape they glow through the siding. Pick a different brand. Also, even the cord plugging in to the wall lights up al over

I use this for mainly my orchids and essential oils and this works perfectly. The size is ideal and the different colours create a meditational environment. The measuring cup helps you to understand how much is too much.My only concern is that without remote it can be hard to understand its symbols but this is not a very high problem and I think this is a great deal.For cleaning, I use vinegar diluted with water (2:2 ratio) and run the humidifier.It smells really weird in this process therefore I would recommend you doing while you'll be going out.

I absolutely love the look and calming sound it gives off but when I first set it up I could here the fan running but it was not misting. Husband looked at it and it turned out that the Fran that makes it mist was put together up side down. So he fixed that and now it is bubbling to make the mist but the mist does not come out of the little slot so I can smell the oils nothing. Very disappointed because I had bought 2 different ones at the same time from a different company and they work great. The colors are beautiful and the whole thing would get 5 stars if it didn't have so many different problems.

This is the first time I've been compelled enough to write a review. This product is so bad I had to urge others not to purchase. It emits like NO water. You can't even feel it coming out. The light feature was cool looking I suppose, but as a humidifier this is just garbage.Also, the instruction manual is complete gibberish. Like it was translated from another language and the translator had no idea what proper English grammar was. The sentences made me want to get out a red pen and start marking errors like I was back in college. Just bad....everything about this product!!!

Thought the larger tank and remote option would be nice... sadly, it doesn't have much output AND it never empties... waistful of oils when you think it shuts off because it's done and still has lots of water & oils left in the bottom. (And it's not on timed, it's on auto shutoff when it does this). Also, the lid started flaking. I would not recommend this diffuser. It didn't start flaking until I was past my return date, Bummer.

I have no complaints about how this diffuser/humidifier runs, however upon receiving the package the "wood" paneling on the top and base is clearly quite fake and doesn't look the best. Since it runs so well I decided to keep it. Less than 2 months of having it, I've noticed that the fake wood paint is peeling away, exposing the white plastic beneath. I have barely touched the top part of the humidifer, so the peeling has to come from the steam coming out of the diffuser. Upon further inspection the paint flakes away from the plastic REALLY easily. Pretty disappointing given the price - you can buy similar diffusers on Amazon for half the price. Also pretty disappointing that I wasn't really happy without how it looked, and now i have an ugly half fake wood/half white plastic humidifier. I tried to scrape all of the paint off so the top is just white plastic, but it's hard to get it all off and still leaves behind traces of ugly brown paint.
