Our uncle loves space and junk and stuff and he loves desk stuff so this was perfect. It's clear and has a great weight to it.

The orb itself is outstanding, mine was at least and was most definitely worth the money. Alas, there was NO BASE in the packaging, just the orb itself. I was very frustrated at that issue but I bought an LED, concave base with 6 color modes or something like that for it and it's so much better than the base it would have come with. I would have swapped it out anyway for the LED base but still, come on! There are no flaws in the orb, the shooting stars are awesome! I absolutely love it and Always find myself gazing into it! It's just one of those things that is mesmerizing and captivating.

My order was securely packed, arrived quickly and was just as pictured. Good heft, like heavy enough to make you want to chuck it at something - so be warned. Clear glass, and the details light up nicely when placed on a lit base. Might get one or two more...

The packaging looked rough, but the item is in good condition. I put these on LED bases on my desk so I’m happy that the globes I purchased are in nice shape, and am happy for the discount relative to similar items here and on EBay.
