Great Camera!
The E1 outdoor camera is an excellent buy. I wanted to set something up to monitor my driveway and entryway. Some of the things I was looking for were:Local storage without a subscription. The camera can take a 256GB micro SD card and holds recordings for days and days. I have been using for a week and it's not even half full. You can go back to specific days and check the events by watching or downloading. Once the card is full it overwrites. What's nice is, because of the smart detection. I can filter out videos based on if it's a motion, vehicle, person, or animal event.Constant power. I didn't want battery. This comes with its own power supply and a long extension cord. The extension cord is about 14 feet long with a few extra feet of cord on the power supply.Wifi and Network capability. The Wifi connection is good. Able to connect on a 2.4ghz or 5ghz band. It also has an ethernet adapter. Also has the ability to connect with Alexa via a skills app. The Reolink app for alexa works great. I can ask Alexa to show me the camera on my Echo Show or Fire Tablet and it pulls it up with no problemSetup was really simple. I connected it to my network via ethernet for the initial setup. Installed the app on my phone and went through the process. One thing I will stress. **UPDATE THE FIRMWARE** Not the app update. Go to the website and follow the instructions on how to download the latest firmware and how to update it. This solved some initial issues that I was having. The Reolink phone app is great. Lots of different options to fiddle with. For example. Being able to setup non-detection zones (in my case blocking out the road so passing traffic doesn't trigger a recording), Night vision, motion tracking, color/black and white options, smart detection.... These are things that are fun to mess around with and decide what is right for you. Overall the app is very easy to use. There are other things as well. Setting up a PC client, Accessing from a browser, using an FTP server, Remote monitoring, and the use of an NVR system.And... the picture quality is great. Overall I am extremely happy with this purchase.

AWESOME Camera with GREAT Web Interface -- but NO POE!!
Quality is great. Lack of PoE is inexcusable! What were they thinking?Make sure you have a power source near your mounting location, because it will *NOT* power up via the ethernet cable.I'll still give it 5 stars, as they didn't force you to add this to a cloud account. It has a GREAT web interface.

As good as it gets for the price
For the money and extreme ease of installation, the video quality, pan feature and night vision are incredible. I can literally read my neighbors license plates across the street, something I've never been able to do with current quality of cameras.I got tired of the vivint and ring cloud cameras I had and wanted local storage and no subscriptions.I use the 256 GB SD cards, 60$ for the set of 2 for my 2 cameras I purchased. I get about 4 days of non-stop recording at maximum resolution, fps and bitrate. Good enough for me. I didn't want to purchase a $200 NVR for 2 cameras.I have a single Xfinity Gateway modem/router that both cameras from front and backyard connect and stream max resolution flawlessly. I haven't had any issues with any disconnects.I wish the App allowed the spotlight to be turned on at all times or turned on the duration of night time so it can act as a permanent security light if I'm working on my car. Its the only disappointing feature. Regardless of how you set your motion settings, any fly buzzing around your camera will be setting the spot light on and off non-stop, which I'm sure drives my neighbors insane. Really shouldn't be deducting 1 star for this, but it is a major feature that is controlled by AI. If you manually turn on the light, it shuts off after 3 minutes automatically I've noticed. The fact that this camera can pan allows me ultimate adjustment and also allows me to use 2, instead of 4 cameras when placed at corners to see if my gate is unlocked, or see my front yard without getting out of bed.If wifi coverage is an issue; think of the amount of money you are saving on these, you can easily purchase a $20 wifi extender that plugs into a nearby wall outlet and still win out big on these gems compared to some of the $600 camera systems out there. I wouldn't hesitate on these. I can't stop bragging about these to co-workers.

very good camera
These work great. I really like the features of these cameras. I have install a couple of these and have a system of over 10 cameras throughout two properties. All my cameras are reolink. Really a great product.

This camera should have never been made
Purchased tis camera thinking it was a quality reolink product i was used to, nope was i wrong. So camera is a good design thought, but the mechanicals in the camera are trash this thing quit working right about 3 months after the warrantee expired. Contacted customer service after a 2 weeks of testing it for them climbing a ladder, testing and trying to force firmware downloads, we figured out it was a mechanical issue, so after two weeks of back and fourth they tell me its out of warrantee good luck. So my question is why could they not tell me that in the first place and saved me a lot of ladder and cold time outside, thanks for that. In the end offered me 8% towards a new camera.. i haven't laughed that hard in awhile. all in all avoid this camera go with a newer model from them avoid this one if your looking for a PTZ camera.

Worth the money
My second one. First one tracks all activity on one side of my place, and this one will track the other side. Good clear pictures and use app on my phone and app on my laptop. I am 76 and had a stroke so not much for me to do!!!
