Yum the first time and YUCK the second. Odd.
This is an update to my prior review below. The first jar i got I loved. The second one I disliked and found inedible.I have no idea how this could happen. I tried it once, then another time the next day...and then I waited about a week to give it another go (just in case my taste buds were playing tricks on me)...each time it tasted like something I wanted to scrape off my tongue. In all fairness I did not make the time to contact the company...but I imagine that if they are diligent with their product they will read this review....also, I was curious to see if anybody else had the same experience where the same product tasted 100% differently in two different occasions.************************************************************I have a ton to do yet I am here writing this review.YES! This thing is THAT great.Even if I could eat Nutella again I'd still choose Go-Lo.If asked what I'd save from my burning home the answer would no longer be my pets, my photographs and heirloom jewels...forget that! Now it will be my steady supply of Go Lo!This stuff not only is addictively great, it is also kinda good for you! If you don't believe, and why should you? I am the chick who won't save her pets in a burning house situation after all...but still...believe me...or Google: benefits of dark chocolate and benefits of SUNFLOWER LECITHIN...yeah the stuff that helps lower cholesterol and build your cells, that stuff...but before you go do that research buy you ten tons of this stuff....and send me 9 and 1/2!

but I've still got a serious sweet tooth. I got this as a study reward
I've been going sugar-free/no sugar added for a while now, but I've still got a serious sweet tooth. I got this as a study reward. I agree with others that have said that if you're looking for an exact copy of Nutella, keep looking, but this is a good alternative on its own. The texture is different from Nutella or other nut butters, and may be off-putting to some. It's a little grittier andโฆ slicker? It's a little odd. The flavor's good, though, and if you like mixing Nutella into things like oatmeal, this is fantastic because it melts like a dream.I have to say, though, there is not a lot to a jar. It may be a bit pricy per ounce compared to Nutella. However, it's a great treat and I think I may be buying it again during the next round of finals.

Nasty!
Absolutely nasty, foul concoction of ingredients that is supposed to be healthy yet tasty but has the texture of sawdust and the taste of it, too (I'm taking a wild guess, I've never eaten sawdust but I am fairly certain it would taste a bit like this). It does have 100% less sugar than Nutella, that is true, but I'm confused about the comparison. This may look like Nutella from far away and, like Nutella, it's an hazelnut spread, but that's really where the similarities end. It's pretty oily, and the oil tends to separate itself from the rest of the "gunk" even if stored at the recommended temperature after opening. If you want to try and mix the oil back in, don't bother. It won't be emulsified properly and you'll have a jar of dry-ish spread with some oil on top, or around it. I was a bit skeptical when I ordered this, but I figured I'd give it a try -hazelnut spread should taste nice and hazelnutty, even without the sugar, right? Wrong! I find Nutella too sweet but this paste is inedible. Don't waste your money on it. Nutella may be one of those foods that cannot be recreated in a sugar free/paleo/macro/whatever form. Or this version is just bad and I got unlucky. My tip? If you really crave Nutella, have a very small amount of the real thing and I promise, you'll be a lot more satisfied than if you ate a whole jar of this thing. Or don't have any Nutella at all and don't let this product fool you.

Decent tasting if you can tolerate the alcohol sugars well.
This tastes decent. It's no Nutella obviously but it does the job mostly. I personally cannot tolerate this and found out the hard way. I have used Swerve without any issue in some low carb baking but this stuff set my body off. So I like the way it tastes decently enough- but I did not favor the use of palm oils (made it too oily tasting IMO) and I also could not even tolerate it well (bloating, massive amount of gas for almost 24 hrs after just eating 2 tablespoons worth and this was the only food I ate that wasn't a whole food and the only thing in my diet for the day that I hadn't had before).

Does not really taste like Nutella and dries up if not used within a week or two
I was a bit disappointed in this for a number of reasons :1) it is rather expensive, but I knew that going in2) it is sugar free, but contains erithrytol for sweetening. I'm not sure if it is the erithrytol but I find the taste mildly unpleasant.3) It dries up after a couple of weeks. I did not refrigerate it, just like it instructed. Don't take too long to finish it.Ultimately I think the biggest disappointment comes from expecting it to taste like Nutella. It doesn't. I might have bought it anyway, but the price is rather high.

I love this "stuff" now that being said I don't eat ...
I love this "stuff" now that being said I don't eat sugar at all !!!! I used to and I am pretty sure this doesnt taste like Nutella it's also not loaded with tons and tons of sugar so I don't expect it to taste like Nutellla. If you are used to eating a very high sugar diet, this isn't for you, nothing tastes like sugar if that's the taste you are used to. As for GI distress, didn't happen to me but I totally understand that, I have those problems with some sugar alcohols so I'm thinking its a hit or miss thing, you have to try a little and see how your body reacts.

Good substitute for Nutella, if pricey
I was putting together a gift basket for my Type 2 diabetic mother and saw the Go Lo Dark Hazelnut spread. She likes hazelnut and Nutella, so I figured I'd give it a try.As promised, it's a great product if you're tracking carbs or need to avoid them. It isn't exactly the same as Nutella, but it doesn't taste synthetic, either. The consistency is nice and the product was very fresh. It was my first Go Lo product and my impression was positive -- my only concern is price. I like products that I can use every day without worrying about breaking the bank. At $11.99 a jar, it's tough to make it a daily staple.
