Great evolution in their wireless earbud line.
I'll pretend the 85's don't exist in this review since they are universally disliked. Having owned the 64t's and 75t Active's, I can honestly say the Elite 7 Active's are a step further. While someone who hasn't used Jabra's wireless buds before might be impressed by the Elite 7's on their own, having owned the two predecessors, I'm even more impressed. Jabra seems to be listening to the customer base given the subtle but effective upgrades. The Elite 7's are slightly more compact than before, but largely share the same design as the 75t's. The liquid silicone coating really does make for a tackier surface, which hopefully translates into a secure fit during my running sessions. They feel a bit lighter too, which is never a bad thing. What makes them better is really on the inside. An extra rear facing mic (bringing each bud to two mic's) for even better ANC has really made a difference. I tested the ANC using both a white noise machine on the loud setting as well as an air filter on high. Both were about 6 feet from me. With no music playing, I could just barely hear the noise. With music playing, the background noise was virtually imperceptible. Another improvement is with the drivers inside the buds which I understand are an all new design. The sound is noticeably better in the Elite's vs. previous versions. The treble and bass are both more distinctive and the bass doesn't drown out and get muddy when it's deep. There's an almost 3D like quality to some older standards (Frank Sinatra, Etta James) when ANC is used owing to the use of real instruments with pauses of near silence at times. Overall I can't say enough about the sound quality, including some of the nice value added features of the Jabra Sound+ app with its customizable EQ and white noise/nature sound generator. Being able to customize the buttons and ANC/hearth rough is great as well. Finally, you can also remove either earbud and still hear sound out of the other if you so choose. Many people didn't like not having that feature in the past. Solid device on the whole with the actual ear tips being the only weakness. For what these retail for, and like the multiple generations before, I feel like a few more dollars spent on the ear gel tips would go a LONGGGG way. I shouldn't have to buy $30 Comply tips. This of course boils down to personal preference and for short listening sessions the standard tips are fine for me. I received these earbuds at a discount in exchange for my honest review.

Solid build, good fit, responsive app
I bought these specifically for working out. I've had a lot of ear buds, both wired and wireless. These are some of the better ones I've tried. They stay in my ears better than any other I've had. The rubber tips are comfortable and the buds are surprisingly secure, particularly for how they look like they would fit in your ear.The controls on the bud are more customizable than my Galaxy Buds Pro. However, the fact that they are a physical button, while that helps eliminate accidental control tapping, also means that they get shoved further into your ear when you use it. Not a huge problem, that just knocks down the comfort level a bit.The buds feel well built and are aesthetically pleasing. They have a good weight, matte rubberized exterior and don't stick out wildly. However, the case has a cheap and flimsy feel to it. Particularly compared to cases for airpods and galaxy buds. Not a significant issue, unless it means that the durability of the case is an issue. I have only had these about a week, though, so too soon to tell. The sound is pretty darn good. The app takes you through a hearing test to try to customize the sound for you, but there is also an equalizer that has solid presets and good customization. Overall, I'm pleased with these so far and look forward to seeing how they do longterm.

Great for daily use! Make sure to check both buds regularly.
I’m usually using these for work (both in office and at home, frequent chatter, dogs playing, sometimes coffee shop noise) and music/podcasts while traveling or at home. I’m not very picky about my audio but will hear the difference in quality when comparing and appreciate good noise cancellation.LIKE1. The fit is great! They are the only earbuds that don’t make my ears hurt.2. You can use either earbud solo. This is SO helpful! I almost always need to hear from one ear, and being able to choose which side I can use makes things so much easier (some others don’t have this feature or you can only do the right).3. The noise cancellation is good for my needs. High pitched will get through, but general chatter and background noise is blocked out well. For buds it’s REALLY good. Of course, you’d be able to get better with over ear, but it’s much more than adequate for buds. Sometimes I just put them in with ANC and no audio when I don’t want the sensory overload.4. The case is small enough to put in your pocket and not be awkward. Although, I’m prone to losing things, which is a problem for all earbuds, so I have a little zip/clip case (made for car keys, pictured) to make my earbuds just obnoxious enough that I don’t forget them (usually).5. The Jabra+ app is a huge plus! After losing my old Jabras, I had a pair of Beats for awhile (lost them too #adhd 😭) and was super disappointed that there wasn’t an app and the same customizability.6. I can have these paired to two devices, which is great when I’m working and want to switch between Zoom calls on my laptop and podcasts/music on my phone. Took me a bit to get the hang of how to make sure they don’t interrupt each other when I don’t want, but I’d rather navigate that then re-pairing every time I want to switch.DON’T LIKE1. I’ve found that I have an issue with my left earbud on and off - both with a previous set of Jabra buds and this one. A few months in, the left one will have low sound and eventually not have any sound coming out. I am most often only using the right one, and occasionally using both. My old buds, there was a tiny (pin sized) hole that needed to be cleaned, which I figured out after a lot of googling from other problem solvers. That doesn’t seem to be the issue with my new pair. I followed the problem solving factory reset instructions and repaired them to my phone, which seemed to do the trick for now. Maybe lack of use of the left earbud causes issues with its pairing? Super weird. That’s really the only issue I have with them!Either way, I will keep using this and would consider buying Jabra buds again because of the comfort. However, if I have more issues with the left bud for this or a future pair, I will consider a different maker to avoid that hassle.
