Mutt Muffs Medium

For some reason the large Mutt Muffs worked better than the medium set. My German Sherpherd slept like a baby in my plane, her head comfortably hugged by her set of large Mutt Muffs.Alternately, I recently flew with my little junkyard hound who wears a medium. The darned things wouldn't stay on her slippery little head no matter what I tried. She wasn't messing with them at all, but everytime I look at her, she was sitting there with them hanging around her neck like two bulging goiters, impeding her sightseeing ability.Since Mutt Muffs are not cheap, I was somewhat annoyed to say the least. I also worry about my dog's hearing when she's unable to keep them on her head.

Seeing as my dog wears these, I really can't give an honest evaluation as to noise cancellation and comfort. But I can say that my dog adjusted to wearing these immediately. It's been an insanely hot summer, so the fans and AC run constantly, which means my apartment is never quiet. My old pup seems to settle down for the night without wandering as much when he is wearing these.

The muffs kept our dog's ears folder down and remained secured for most of the flight. It would be possible for her to have pushed them off as you cannot tighten the chin strap too much without choking your pet. Fortunately she was not bothered by them and did not try to remove them. They do tend to slide back on her head as she would look for a place to bury her head between the seats. Fortunately my passenger was available to reposition them occasionally. I think these are about the best protection you can get for your pet. You just cannot expect that they will be as agreeable about wearing them as you would like.

I bought Mutt Muffs for my daughters Queeensland Heeler. She rides down to my ranch with me in the backseat of a R44 helicopter. At first she hated them but after riding with me for a couple of hours with the doors off, she no longer tried to get them off. She mostly slept during the flight.

Great idea but my dog hated it, so I bought a wiresless headset for myself instead, LOL!

The fit was good but didn't work for my dog.

This product is cheaply constructed, does not stay on, and the straps are super uncomfortable for the dog.Also, I paid near $90 for this product I and they only refunded me $18. I’m waiting to hear why.
