Nicely made , should be 8’’, 6.5”is not big enough .

Just installed them and they are light weight and mount flush with the foundation. Only bought 2 and will be buying more. Great product with easy install.

Not sure slide will stay in place through the winter.

These crawl space vents are just what I needed. They were a little short in width, but were easily modified with a piece of 2 x 4 to fill the gap. The damper feature is great. No more of the neighbors cigarette smoke infiltrating my house! I had been using foam covers, which the neighbors rats chewed through. No more listening to a rat gnawing on my insulation while I'm laying in bed! No more putting on covers & taking them off winter & spring. Now permanent. I am very happy. It is a 100% improvement. I highly recommend them. I wish I had known about them years ago.

Cheap material but it got the job done.

I think I would need to double up to cover the vents I need to control. If I can figure out how to move the slide from ground level, I may use.
