Works perfectly and really makes the task of shoveling much easier on your back. Easy to set up and fit two different brands of shovels. Will sometimes twist on the shovel under a heavy load, but easy to put back. Highly recommend.

This little thing makes shoveling way easier with less strain on my back. It is amazing how simply adding a second handle can relieve so much strain. It also feels very solid and is easy to install. I have only used it for one heavy winter so far, so hopefully it continues to be as durable as it seems. All in all, a great purchase that makes a tough job way less painful.

Moved to new state and in with new girlfriend. It snows a lot here and she assured me that they had a good snow shovel. This snow shovel, however, did not have any D grip, so if the snow load was slightly to one side, the whole shovel would turn in hand. On top of that, I must have pulled a muscle because the next few days were agonizing. I purchased this product and was happy with the material selection and ease of installation. However, with the first few loads, the handle would rotate along the shaft. I was hesitant to tighten it any further as the shovel shaft was made of fiberglass and I already heard some small crackles during first installation. With some troubleshooting and trial and error, I settled on using a rubber tourniquet (think we you have blood taken) to increase the friction between this device and the shovel. After this modification, the product was amazing! I could shovel snow longer and didn't hurt the next day. If the original product came with a small square of rubber to begin with, it would be a 5 star product in every way. TL:DR- Product needs increased friction modification to achieve full potential. Once friction increased between device and handle, it's an amazing product.

I purchased this product in 2018 for my heavy duty snow shovel. The shovel has since broke, but the handle is still in excellent condition and I put it on my new shovel. The included Allen wrench key was still attached and it worked perfectly. I just ordered another one for my new shovel and my garden tools.

I dont know why all shovels dont have these attached. Saves your back.

This works great. Bought for a rake and hubby was amazed at how much easier it was to rake. I bet it woukd would great on a snow shovel too.

They're rock solid when installed correctly, and they're easily adjusted because not only are all the fasteners securely contained so that there's no risk of losing them, AND the necessary tool is also securely contained on the handles. This is a game-changer, because where the handle is located significantly affects the leverage it provides. E.g., when I shifted from shoveling topsoil to shoveling gravel, I found it helpful to shift the handle closer to the head of the shovel, because it gave me more leverage both to 'shove' the shovel blade into the gravel and to lift it up into my truck bed. The whole time, there was no risk of losing any of the hardware for affixing the handle to the shovel. I think my pictures illustrate why and how this is the case. BTW, I have used these handles [identical ones purchased elsewhere] for several years in all weather conditions and for everything from shoveling soil, gravel, snow, to chopping ice- and they have held up without chipping, cracking, or any other damage.

I finally got to shovel snow and this handle was life changing. I could lift so much more snow than before. Having the wrench attached to the handle made it possible to adjust the location and tighten it down making each shovel easier to lift and throw. Love this attachment
