Effective killer of Asian invasive grasses without killing your lawn
This is about the only product out there that will kill the Asian invasives that are seriously encroaching on mid-Atlantic state lawns. This product specifically kills "Japanese Stiltgrass" which kind of looks like miniature bamboo and can grow in both sun and shade and compete with lawn grasses. You MUST kill it or pull it before it goes to seed in late August. It also seems to be killing the other invasive annual that I have in the lawn the builder left me "Arthraxon hispidus" which is not shade tolerant. These grasses look very similar to each other but Arthraxon has wider, bigger leaves which leaves at their base kind of wrap around the stem to which they are attached. I am emphasizing the killing of Arthraxon here because I do not find any recommendation on the Internet for controlling this invasive in lawns, though obviously glyphosate could often be used elsewhere. If you fail to get all of these invasives killed in your lawn and planting beds before they go to seed, you should use a pre-emergent in the spring, which needs to be spread even earlier than controlling for crabgrass. I spread the Acclaim Extra using both a hose-end sprayer (by mixing up a liquid concentrate + non-ionic surfactant) and a backpack sprayer. Both appear to have been quite effective. This product works slowly. These grasses turn slightly yellow after 4 or 5 days, but require more than 2 weeks to completely die.

The Heartbreak of Stiltgrass.....YES, this stuff kills this awful weed!
If you are reading this, you have likely experienced "The Heartbreak of Stiltgrass". One day, your garden / lawn looks great. The next day there is a veritable SEA of STILTGRASS everywhere you turn. First you try ripping it up by hand until you realize it is literally in every nook and cranny. You fantasize about using a flamethrower (just kidding of course) or back hoe. You dream about eradicating it. Yes, this was me. So I found this product and figured it was worth a try (despite the high cost). I have to say that YES, it works. I used the surfactant + Acclaim and the stiltgrass began to turn yellow and (importantly) stop growing. I did have to do a second spray (after about 10 days) to get at the stuff I missed due to the dense stiltgrass. So far so good--my groundcover and other desirable plants are AOK. Also seems to kill the infestation of gigantic crabgrass that went along with this. So, it looks like I will be a regular customer.

Death Sentence for Japanese Stiltweed!
It killed the crap out of my massive Japanese Stiltweed infestation. However, I misread the label and used about three times the recommended dose. In one week the stiltweed was dry-looking and withered - well into it's death troes. I sprayed it alongside a lot of bulb flowers (daffodils, tulips, etc.) and it didn't seem to affect them even though I hit them with over spray in some places.I also have a Lady's Thumb infestation. Although it's not a weed listed on the label, I sprayed some of it with Acclaim. I'll see this weekend if it had any affect.Update: It seems to have killed the Lady's Thumb too, but this stuff is absolute murder on Japanese Stiltweed. Nary a single shoot survived the massacre.Note: This is an expensive product, and if you are spraying Japanese Stiltweed in the woods where you don't need to protect turf grass or other plants, then try Roundup (Roundup Pro preferably). It is every bit as effective (although slower), and costs a fraction of the price.

Kicked the Bermuda grass in my yard right in the nuts
I life in zone 7a and have some Bermuda grass mixed into my fescue yard which I've been trying to get rid of for 10 years. I got this and some Turflon Ester and sprayed as directed (which is a little tricky because the directions are based on product per square foot, not product per gallon of water, so you have to test-spray with your sprayer to figure it out). In my case I figured out that my one gallon sprayer covered 750 square feet (which I learned by doing a test run with just water) and so was able to figure out how much of this I needed per gallon.I have to say that 2 weeks after my first application this plus the Turflon kicked the Bermuda grass right in the nuts. I had always suspected that a few spots in my yard had Bermuda mixed in, and after spraying I could see them as satisfying dead grass. It was not 100% dead though and this does not kill the Bermuda outright, but surpasses it and knocks it back. A few weeks later I could see it greening up again and sprayed again. Basically you should spray every 4 weeks starting in mid to late May (for my zone) and keep hitting it as it tries to grow back.At this point I've sprayed twice and my fescue is taking over which I'm thrilled about. The proof will really be in a year or two, I'll try to remember to post again.

It is acclaim, it is also 3 years old.
I received acclaim extra as described. However the product has a manufacturing date of 05/2021. I called Envu support to inquire, they said shelf life of 3 to 5 years if stored properly, and to go ahead and use it. I have no idea how it was stored as it was not in my possession until now. I am going to attempt to use it as I need it for stiltgrass control. I will try to write an edit once I determine if it is still effective. I see others pointing to getting an outdated product as well. Also, the bottle I received is the baby bottle type packaging vs what is pictured. not that it matters, just wanted to point it out.

Really works on Japanese stilt grass as well as other weeds.
Absolutely takes care of Japanese stilt grass. My yard has become infested with this weed. I’ve been battling it for three years. Tried all the other stuff. Round up will kill it if you get it when it’s just coming up but you obviously can’t use that on the lawn.Acclaim extra is okay in my lawn. It’s killed the stilt grass and other weeds as well but hasn’t harmed the grass. The photo is 48 hours after application. I used a surfactant in the water. It’s already turning brown. If you zoom in you’ll see it.A bit expensive but will last me years.
