Using traditional crutches was very painful so this is a lifesaver
I was involved in a nasty motorcycle accident and long story short I hurt the palms of both hands and broke my ankle. Using traditional crutches was very painful so this is a lifesaver. There are a couple of gotchas and recommendations that I wanted to share. I am 5'8" and I have the knee pad set all the way down so this ain't for short people! 2nd The steering angle is horrendously limited but you can fix that by removing the steering limiter bolt at the bottom which is easy to do. Its still fairly safe without them as you have 2 wheels in the back. Without this mod, navigating indoors is a PITA with a lot of back and fourth or picking up the walker and turning it. The extra steering angle is great. 3rd and finally. The knee pad is pretty hard so i recommend picking up a knee pad cover. You can do a search for "Knee Walker Pad" to find them.Even with with the minor inconveniences I listed, I think this still deserves 5 starts for the high quality metal components and beautiful paint ( I got green). Its practically pre-assembled. You just remove the packing material, unfold it, put in the knee pad and handlebars which are already have the brakes cabled up (brakes are great) and put on the basket which requires 2 small allen screws. allen wrench was included :)

Easy to use
It is an excellent product to use when someone has a leg injury. It beats using the crutches, so when you use this product and it will take you places. Just a forewarning; watch out for high leveled bumps along concretes. My daughter fell while using this product when she tried to roll over a high rise bump, and the scooter is one hardy product. Easy to use and close it up for storage.

Its OK as long as you have a large vehicle to travel with it!
I purchased this to get around as I have broken my foot a few time in the past 7 months and needed to go on school visits with my daughter. When I started to try to get it in my vehicle it was very cumbersome and not convenient to get in the car. While it is easy to use the knee pad is not really comfortable so I will be buying some extra padding for it. All in all it will do the trick for its purpose.

Well worth it with a few recommendations
Very sturdy, easy to assemble taking less than 5 minutes to put together. I'm a big guy at 240 pounds (55 years old) so I was skeptical on how this would perform and support my weight but I can honestly say I feel very comfortable on this scooter. Other observations.... 1) Other reviewers mentioned the lack of turning radius. While it doesn't have a very tight turn without removing the stop, I found it very easy to just lift up the front of the scooter a little to reposition the front wheels. It's much more stable with the turning stop left in place. 2) Another concern was the lack of padding. There is room to add up to 1-1/8 inches of additional dense padding under the sheepskin cover that comes with it. That's what I measured and added to mine. The cover was tight going on over the additional padding but I got it to work. I don't think you can add anymore padding than that. The additional padding made all the difference in the world. 3) The brakes work well enough around the house. They hold the scooter still so you can get on and off without it moving on you. They are super easy to adjust at the hand levers without using tools. 4) I had a pretty extensive ankle surgery so I found it very painful to use the scooter the first 2 days until the pain eased some. After that it wasn't bad at all but do yourself a favor and add the extra padding. 5) Be prepared to feel every little bump you go over. Didn't take long to figure out to raise your injured leg up a bit to take the pressure off it when you go over a bump, sidewalk Crack or transition strip from carpet to linoleum. Really helps a lot. 6) Rolls easy enough over shag carpet and super easy over hard surfaces. 7) By all means, get this at least a week before you need it. Practice on it, use it every day prior to needing it. Practice getting on and off the toilet using only one leg. By doing so I developed trust in the scooter and it gave me a better idea on where I needed to install grab bars.

Love this scooter
Love this scooter. We are medical professionals and it is extremely well made. More importantly, the customer service is AMAZING. We had a little trouble folding it down. Claudia sent us written instructions, pictures and a YouTube video. She went above and beyond. Thank you so much!

It is a little squeaky but it works great.
I named it Apple as it is apple green. I am over 200 pounds and feel very secure using it. It is a little squeaky but it works great.

it was still better than crutches
Very hard to turn, the knee pad was uncomfortable and the entire thing was cumbersome and heavy to transport. However, it was still better than crutches. The basket and cover for the seat are a nice touch.

Works miracles
Love it works amazing. I was on it for three months because of foot surgery. It was really easy to get around except for when you were spending hours on it for work because then your knee hurt. Maybe a little more padding would be nice
