150 Bible Verses Every Catholic Should Know

Although I like the selection of psalms, I rated it a 3 because of the size of the print. They use a very small font. It is hard to read!

A Catholic should get this. You won't regret it.

This is a very good book for every Catholic. For those of us who don't know the bible inside out, I must say this s book is opening up my eyes. My mom knows her bible inside out and even she keeps looking at it when I put it down. She says that it is excellent!!!

Listen to Patrick every morning on Relevant Radio. He is coming to town to give a talk so I wanted to read at least one of his books and maybe get him to sign it. I like the verses he chose. I would like the SCRIPTURE to be larger font size and the Commentary to be a little smaller but that is just my preference in style. Thoroughly enjoying this book and it will be one I come back to read again for encouragement.

Beautiful companion piece to your bible. Very easy reading and he explains in his own words the meaning of those bible verses in such detail. Patrick Madrid is a fabulous apologetics n I love to listen to him on Relevant Radio every morning being a cradle Catholic myself. Listening to him n reading his books especially this one has made me a strong Catholic n knowing more about our religion.

I really enjoyed the book and it really makes you think about your life. The book was approved by Reverend Joseph Binzer, Vicar General, Archdiocese of Cincinnati, OH on April 15, 2008 so just know it is authentic. My only complaint is the scripture verses are in small print while the commentary is in larger print. I would suggest to the author to make a revised edition and enlarge the scriptures which the book is all about especially for those who have trouble reading small print.Great Book!

In my studies of the Bible and the Catholic Church, I am finding truth in the teachings of the Catholic Church. This book gives many examples of those teachings and the scripture to back it up. Jesus promised a church not a book. Matt.16:18. The Bible in 1 Timothy 3:15 calls the Catholic Church "the pillar and foundation of truth." This is one of many examples of the Bible alone and faith alone as not being found or justified by the Bible. I highly recommend this book.

Edward Sri does a wonderful job of explaining things in a manner that the average lay person can easily understand. Very worthwhile read.
