Frommer's EasyGuide to Germany (Easy Guides)

We are Frommer fans, but this book was light on the aspects of a visit to Germany that we were looking for. We found the Rick Steves book covered the Rhine/Mosel and areas south of Munich better. Frommer spent more time on the big cities, which were not of much interest to us.Note that this is not criticism of the areas Frommer DID cover. It's just that he skimmed over our areas of interest.

Great book on Germany and what to see, do as well as the ins and outs of the country (ATMS, ettiquette, etc). I always depend on Frommer's books combined with TripAdvisor when planning our adventures. This book is a great resource!

Traveled to Germany in the summer. While I enjoyed the brevity of this guide, it wasn't as accurate as I'd like. It lacks some information such as laundry locations. One recommended restaurant in Garmisch-Partenkirchen actually needed you to be staying at the nearby hotel, yet no mention of this was in the book. It was a nice hike to get there, though :DSome positives is that it recommended visiting Lubeck outside of Hamburg. That place was awesome!I used Rick Steves' Germany travel guide and appreciated that a lot more. He goes into every single detail, and there were no surprises (very well researched)! The drawback of his guides is they are very lengthy, thick and wordy. However, I would recommend his guides over this one.

I used this extensively in Germany. I left if for my German friends because there were things in there even they hadn't known about.

Not nearly as helpful as the Rick Steves books.

Very useful guide. Took it with us for a 2 week trip to Germany.

Helpful guide. Not so easy on Kindle but it worked.
