SC295400EA - Mepilex Border Self-Adherent Foam Dressing 6 x 6

This is pricey but is is a great dressing: It absorbs a lot, the adhesive is not irritating to skin and comes off painlessly; it is waterproof so can be left on through showers. AND...if you are covering and/or padding a 4 or 5 inch surgical incision, you can slice this big dressing up for a long narrow bandage with adhesive just on the ends without having a huge dressing and making the price not so terrible. It was the best solution I found for a 4 inch suture line on my forearm where the nice cushion on this dressing protected from impact and kept the incision clean. This is really good stuff.

Mepliex description is not clear. I ask several customers does this bandage have a sticky middle and was told no. Just received and this bandage does have a sticky middle. so upset I paid extra to receive in one day because needed desperately....they are useless to me and i know they will not take them back.

My elderly aunt has a bed sore from being in rehab, and it was recommended to use the Mepilex bandages, because they breathe. They are quite expensive, but her care giver thinks that they are helping her.

These were great! I needed them for my mothers pressure sores. Medicare doesn't cover them and the hospital medical supply sold it by the sheet. They were wonderful and her sores cleared in a 2 week period.

This is for wound care. These are what the hospital used. They are just great for wound care. My wound has gotten much smaller therefore this size is no longer needed.

My daughter has a horrible hot water accident...these were a lifesaver. I highly recommend them for burns.

Used on a friend. Fit perfectly; added a bit more tape for 'stay-in-place' assurance.

Learned about this product years ago at a Wound Center. I now keep them around in a couple of sizes for those "non-healing" wounds I sometimes get on my leg. Along with a pull on leg covering for the shower I am able t leave the dressing in place for several days allowing the wound to heal naturally.The size is for the overall product, not the size of the pas which is considerably less. Be sure to take that into account when ordering.
