Lightweight fun. The kids can make huge creative things and they don't weigh much.

I bought this in a store, not Amazon, for my son. It was about $35 in the store. My son loves building and I thought he would like this. Well, for $35 you get $2 worth of drinking straws and $3 worth of plastic connectors. Don't expect anything else to make it worth the $35. The pieces are hard to connect for children and are easily bent and are nearly impossible to align in any way. For $10 it may be worth it, but definitely not at the current price.

The idea would be great for makerspace, but not at the price! It even tells you on the package these are regular drinking straws. The connector pieces are plastic and easier for the older kids but harder for the younger. Some of the instructions right off the bat in these kits is fit two straws together without a connector piece I don't see any of my younger classes doing these.Straws are great for kids... but kids will cut them and break them and it's just not worth it and it's not made to last. Dollar store has them much cheaper.
