Auric Blends - Amber Body Oil

I've been a long time Auric Blends customer that initially LOVED the oils. I've ordered many batches over the years and it had been an easy GO-TO for my family for any gifting purposes. I've gotten several rolls that, for lack of a better descriptive the oil was just SKUNKED or OLD and had no pleasant smell whatsoever. It happens, I imagine and it's understandable but what isn't understandable and downright disappointing (also the reason I'm no longer a customer) is their horrible customer service. Each time I've gotten a bad roll (or roll(s)) I've contacted them to let them know that the product(s) have no scent but of old oil & to initiate the attempt exchange them out. Each time I've done so it's been like pulling teeth to get them to acknowledge the products are faulty and they seem to look for every loophole possible to avoid doing so. Not only is having crappy products that you can't use, a disappointment but is insulting to go round and round with a company over a bad product they won't make efforts to remedy.My latest example is from a purchase of 3 rolls in February, a birthday gift from my daughter & I was really excited b/c I was out of my fragrances but the rolls were definitely old (no pleasant scent but old and musty oil) so I contacted Customer Service to request an exchange for the 3 skunked rolls. Drumroll please... Since they were a gift they told me I would have to return them to my daughter who lives in another city not within driving distance (which meant mailing them back to her -$ and then her having to mail them back to AB -$ & AB sending the rolls back to me. By the time it exchanged all these hands in postage and time - expenses would exceed the original product itself) my daughter would have to return the products herself(WHAT A FRIGGING NIGHTMARE!). I was completely frustrated and this wasn't the first time AB has made a bad purchase impossible to fix.Auric Blends, STAND BEHIND YOUR PRODUCTS ALREADY when customer satisfaction isn't met without the run around.I work for a huge retailer that sells products from hundreds of different distributors & despite not being responsible for the standard those distributors meet, we will stand behind the products we sell regardless. That's how businesses create trust and REPEAT CUSTOMERS! STAND BEHIND YOUR PRODUCTS, AURIC BLENDS!

First of all, in my order history it says this was sold by XTREMEK, but, when I click on the link from within my order, it takes me to Old Glory's page as the seller. So I don't know who rightfully sold me the product, but this review may be more so for the seller than for the product itself.I've actually bought this scent several times over the years, always in person from metaphysical-type stores. It is one of my favorites and I wanted to get another bottle before I ran out of my other one, and I decided to buy it online for the convenience. I will never make that mistake again for this product.It does have the same slightly peppery scent (I don't know how else to describe it; that always sticks out to me), but it is a fraction of the strength I am used to. I could tell by the color before I even unscrewed the lid...I am used to the oil having a much darker tint to it. So it is the scent I was hoping for; it just seems that it's been heavily watered (oiled?) down. I'm so disappointed, considering I spent twice as much for half the product and didn't even have the thrill of instant gratification. I will just have to make my trek down to the witchy bookstores from now on every time I want to replenish this wonderful scent.For curious readers, as far as the scent itself--it may have a very slight patchouli-esque tinge to it, but it's never been overpowering to me. I don't take issue with patchouli, but I can see how people can be easily turned off by it. This (Amber) scent does have an earthy, musky note to it...but, again, I always think of pepper...or I guess just "spice." Plus your own chemistry will obviously make a difference...mine does very well with this one. So I wouldn't recommend you turn away from it just because of the earthy vibe, but I WOULD recommend you just go to a shop that carries it and try it there. And, again, to clarify--I don't know if this review needs to be about the oil itself (new formula?), or one of the two possible sellers...but, based on my previous experiences with Auric Blends, I'm guessing that it's a diluted product online. Disappointing.

I’ve always loved the scent of amber essential oil.This smells wonderful and lasts for most of the day.I use it a few times daily and just love it.

I love this brand and particular scent ❤. I use a natural citrus/ patchouli body spray with it, this combo smells heavenly! Just the Amber oil alone is also divine. Regular perfumes have something in them that give me an instant sinus headache, but this doesn't.Love love love

It came in early in my opinion which was nice. It had until Dec. 7th & it arrived on Nov. 30. Smell is just like the Amber Resin when you have it on.

This is my signature scent. Its warm, its woodsy, its spicy, its my everything. The roller bottle keeps oil off my hands and makes it easy to just throw in my purse and take with me.

Smells great and lasts for hours. I have sensitive skin, but there were no issues with a rash or breaking out. If only I could get my house to smell like this. Love it and will order again.
