M1 Garand Rear Hand Guard Band

It fit just like the original. I think it is a flawed design to begin with though. You cannot remove the hand guard without some kind of tool. There should never be a military standard service weapon that needs a tool to disassemble and clean. I guess that lesson was learned since then as the M16 does not need a tool.

THIS CLIP WORKS AND LOOKS AS GOOD AS THE ORIGINAL CLIP. IF YOU NEED TO REMOVE THE UPPER HANDGUARD CLIP ON AN M1 GARAND RIFLE FOR ANY REASON AND YOUR NOT REAL CAREFUL YOU WILL BREAK THE ORIGINAL CLIP, MOSTLY BECAUSE OF THE AGE OF THE CLIP. THIS CLIP WORKS GREAT. IT'S MADE JUST LIKE THE ORIGINAL CLIP AND IT'S MADE FROM GOOD MATRIAL. BUY THIS ONE IF YOU NEED ONE, YOU WILL SAVE TIME LOOKING AROUND AND SAVE MONEY. YOU WILL LIKE IT.

Needed to replace this part and ordered. Was happy to see it is practically the exact same as the original handguard clip I had and for a great price.

First let me start by saying this product is great and the shipping was quick and accurate. I'd highly recommend it from that standpoint. Unfortunately, I bought this to replace the clip on a 2003 Springfield Armory M1A Scout Squad with mostly G.I. Fulton Armory parts. Although it "technically" fit, the legs didn't fit in the grooves of the barrel well enough to keep the hand guard from coming off during fire. I put the original clip back on and the problem was solved. This clip might be better suited for a G.I. M14 and M1 Garand.

It fits better than the original which broke when I tried to bend it to grab the groove in the barrel.

Good replacement part...
