Love the series AND the books
Love a good read and it's a bonus for me that the Netflix cover is on the front.

I need more Joe!
Dear Joe,As always, I enjoyed your telling over this chapter of your life. Man, life sure likes to try to drag you down. You tried so hard to be a good boy on this go around. Yet, everyone around you just kept trying to pull you to the dark side.If I'm, being honest Joe, MK really didn't deserve you. You were so patient with her; so good to her. Yet, she continued to test you over and over again. Her family and friends were a true obstacle in your love for her. And none of them saw it. No one would've blamed you if you would've succumbed to your old ways.Oh Joe, all of the wrongs you endured in this book. Melanda, Shortus, Love, Love's family, Ivan, Emmy, none of them truly appreciated you and your love for MK. If I'm being honest, Joe, MK didn't appreciate your love either.I was so shocked at the things these people did to you Joe. I didn't see any of it coming. I was completely entranced in your story Joe. I couldn't stop reading it. I was really rooting for you Joe. I was hoping you would get your happily ever after. No one can blame you for what you did in the end Joe. No one. It was the right thing to do. I wasn't sure at first, but after I really thought back on everything, it was the only thing you really could do.Now I sit here and wait for your next chapter Joe. I hope that you're able to pick up the pieces of your life. In the meantime, I will be patiently waiting to see what happens next.

Impossible to put down!
Published: April 6, 2021Random HouseI received a copy of this book for free, and I leave my review voluntarily.Carolyn Kepnes is the author of You, Hidden Bodies, Providence, and numerous short stories. Her work has been translated into a multitude of languages and inspired a television series adaptation of You, currently on Netflix. Kepnes graduated from Brown University and previously worked as a pop culture journalist for Entertainment Weekly and a TV writer for 7th Heaven and The Secret Life of the American Teenager. She grew up on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and now lives in Los Angeles.“Love, Joe.”Joe is starting over, again, on Bainbridge Island. He is isolated from the life he lived, but things are looking up. Joe vows he will change. Make better choices. And when he sees the beautiful librarian, Joe thinks this could be his opportunity to not only start fresh but have a happily ever after if he makes it that far.I enjoyed this installment of this series. I like the character of Joe, despite his deadly flaws. I loved the setting for this novel and the character development.Joe is a new man- he’s starting over, with minimal strings attached, and he thinks he has found the one. Again. Again. Again. Again. Hopefully, history doesn’t repeat itself. The pacing of this book was fast, and the build-up was well done. The twists were so well-plotted, and you won’t see them coming. This was a semi-different spin on this series, and I have to say, I enjoyed it. Fast-paced, intense, and beautiful familiar- this book is everything you're looking for in an intensely scary book.

Joe Goldberg. Need I say more?
Yeah, I do.I love these stories because of their structure and flow. But also because of Joe Goldberg, and his absolute belief in the concept of true love and there being "the one" or soulmate. The You books are horrifying because of the reality of the internet. Social media can be a very effective tool for stalking someone, therein lies the horror...Joe Goldberg, and everything he does is an actual possibility. It could happen to You. The readers are actual possible targets, depending on how we use the internet.Caroline Kepnes is a genius. She makes you root for the killer, he is human after all, just like you and me, he is traumatized, like so many of us, and he is mentally ill, but not completely off the rails. Being a narcissist, his point of view is the only one that matters, and his point of view feeds our sick and twisted fantasies of "what if?"We like /love Joe because he is faithful and needy. He only wants the best for those he latches on to. He only speaks and thinks favorably about them, until he doesn't, and when that happens, we see his reasoning as reasonable.YOU LOVE ME is Kepnes' best, in my opinion, it is Joe at his literal best. It makes me love him all the more.I hope this isn't the last You book.I want more. And you will too, you'll see.

Not an easy read
I had high hopes for this book, but I am struggling to force myself to read it. The timeline pick up doesn’t make sense, and Joe is strangely different in this book.I can’t quite put my finger on it, but it almost feels like it was written by a different author trying to keep the same “story”

She gets better and better.
My first review ever not required for a class; This felt worth the time and effort. The complexity of this character (Joe) fascinates me- he is such an amazing narrator. I personally love books that are about people who read and analyze great books. (And movies) I also love it when really brilliant women write from a man’s first person perspective- gives them depth that many men do not have or at least never SHARE!! I think that gives these books such a feeling of relatability and depth. Joe is so unpredictable and yet “Everyman” at the same time- a total conundrum. His “aside” comments are so satisfying and witty. This book is also WAY exciting up to the end…. The best one yet, in my opinion.

Amazing read, you won’t want to put down
I loved the first two books in this series and so I knew I would love the 3rd. However, I did not enjoy the 3rd Netflix TV series that was modeled after these books. Therefore, even if you didn’t like the show (or did) the books outshine them by a long run. Joe is still the same joe going around thinking he’s “good” all the while people around him die. He guy needs a good therapist. Anyway, I find it interesting because a lot of people say that love mirrored joe (if you read the second book) but I feel as though the new female lead character in this book has a more similar life to joe than love. Anyway, read this book! But only after you read the first two!

It arrived in perfect condition and earlier than expected!
The book, despite not having been wrapped in any plastic or protector, arrived without scratches or bent corners. Also, it was supposed to arrive in more than a week... It took three days to arrive, excellent!

A powerful ending
I have read all three books now and wasn’t convinced that he the third book was delivering the same experience of the first two until the epilogue. The epilogue brought all three books to a powerful conclusion. Well worth the read. Difficult ln part for an older Brit, as I didn’t get all the American music references or celebrities. I enjoyed the characterisation, the fast pace and continuity of the story.
