Make: Electronics 3rd Ed Kit 1 Economy - Beginner, Intermediate, & Advanced (...

I bought the Economy chapter 1-3 kit. It differs from the deluxe kit in that it lacks a multimeter and soldering iron, and doesn't come with a 9 volt battery or AC adapters, and it is shipped in a basic cardboard box instead of the plastic, compartmentalized case of the deluxe kit. I already own a soldering iron and multimeter so the deluxe wasn't worth the extra money to me, but I wish there was a third option that came without those items but included the case. Because it is a pain to dig through the cardboard box for things. But still, it's a great kit that comes with everything you need for the first chapters of Make: Electronics, aside from the galvanized brackets and copper coins for the lemon battery experiment. Component quality has been mostly acceptable aside from one 3A fuse that popped instantly during an experiment it should have been able to withstand (but those fuses are known for having a wide range for their true tolerances). I recommend it

This is a great kit to use with the first part of the textbook. I was a little disappointed when I took an inventory and found two missing items (breadboard and circuit cards), but when I contacted the seller they answered me a day and a half later telling me they will send the missing parts along with a few bonus items. They followed through and I received the parts less than one week later. They even followed up with a delivery confirmation to make sure I was aware. Great service from this seller indeed! Highly recommended.

The kit dose not include a book.

This saves time and makes it easier to engage in the process of learning electronics.

Kits underwhelming for the price you pay for inexpensive components but that's the price of convenience I suppose. My reason for 1 star is the fact my 3.3k resistor bag was empty, can't see giving any other review as I didn't receive the items in which I paid for.

I was beyond excited when I saw that my kit 1 economy was delivered! When I opened it it I was shocked and amazed to find so a well organized kit. The labeling of the components is really going to come in handy when I start building and experimenting. Not to mention I can’t wait to do! This small business has great quality kits for great prices. Will definitely be ordering from ProTechTrader again. Thank you to the PTT team for making such a fun hand made activity!

I bought both kits for this book , very convenient and included everything I needed to complete all the projects. Had a small hiccup with the first order but the owner was very communicative and took care of it right away . Great experience.

Hace un año que compré el libro y los kits. Decidí buscar específicamente los que el libro recomienda ya que no tenía ningún conocimiento de electrónica (obvio, por eso compré el libro) y no quería meterme en el lío de buscar componentes individuales. Tengo los 2 kits económicos y apenas terminé los experimentos del primero. No me faltó ni una sola pieza y puede realizar todos los experimentos del libro sin ningún problema. Todo viene bien catalogado empaquetado y organizado. Hay un pequeño espacio en la etiqueta reservado para la iniciales de la persona que armo el paquete y la verdad aprecié saber que alguien cuidadosamente ase aseguro de que todo estuviera en orden. (Gracias CC por dejarlo perfecto) Honestamente es exactamente lo que necesitaba para empezar a aprender electrónica por mi cuenta. Me divertí mucho con el primer kit y editaré esta review una vez que complete el segundo.
