Incorrect values from meter.
i recently purchased some GenUltimate Blood Glucose Test Strips For Use with One Touch Ultra Meters for my wife. She started using them and after about a week, she noticed something may be amiss. The numbers were 80 to 90. These seemed lower than what she normally was. She then tried one of yours and then one of the One Touch strips that she got from the pharmacy. Your number was about 20 points lower than the one from the pharmacy. This is not good. She has stopped using yours because the numbers are way off. I am requesting a full refund including shipping for yours as I now don't trust the values returned by your strips.Further investigation indicated that the meter may need to be recalibrated. I did this and the numbers are still WRONG.DO NOT BUY this product unless you want to lie to your doctor about the values. The values that we encountered were 20 points BELOW the actual value

Very Pleased.
Great accurate strips. I was using the ReliOn from Walmart...the price was good and all, but I really liked the One Touch Ultra 2 Meter. So I tried these. I then noticed, that the ReliOn (which really was a ReLIEon) was actually over 50 points or so higher. I thought there was a problem, then I checked these with the One Touch Ultra strips...and these were still accurate. So I was giving myself to much Insulin...that can cause an issue. Since I have been using these strips...I feel better, I am using less Insulin...and it makes sense. I have gone to a low Sugar Low Carb diet...and I was wondering how the hell my Blood Sugars were so high (160's or event 180's) on the ReliOn Meter...when I was only eating Protien and Vegetables...and No Carbs or Sugar. Well, the ReliOn was giving me FALSE readings. I recommend these to anyone that don't want to pay $40+ dollars for 25 test strips...Not saying I couldn't get a bad batch...but so far the Customer Service is great, they have sent me emails making sure I got the products, and then wanting to know if I was happy. Give them a try.

Bad Batch?
I ordered the strips in March and started using them shortly after. Our meters were off by over 100 points. I have three containers left or 150 strips left. I followed all directions and just think I got a bad batch. Is there anything that can be done? I can send the scripts back if you would like. We ended up purchasing another brand and our numbers became more in line. We were so worried.

Not so Accurate
The GU Strip readings are always higher than those from a One Touch Ultra Strip which I verified to be accurate in my Drs office.PROLow costCONsThe area where blood is absorbed on these GU strips is about 1/2 as wide and more than 50% longer than the area on an actual One Touch ULTRA (OTU) Strip. Because the absorption area in narrower and longer it makes the absorption of blood more uneven & slower than a OTU Strip. About every 3 to 5 times I test my blood, the blood does not fill the GU strip fast enough and it results in a not enough blood ERROR or inaccurate reading. When This happens I can get an instanteous reading of over 200 with one strip and using a 2nd get a reading of 140-160. Moments later I can us a One Touch ULTRA Strip strip and get a reading of 120.Just touching the OTU strip to a drop of blood and it instantly fills the area the meter measures. I need to get a bigger drop of blood with the GU strips and then put my finger above the meter so gravity helps the blood flow down to quickly & completely fill the GU strip because the channel that accepts the blood on the GU strip is narrower and longer

I will be happy to see my sugar levels go down and these ...
The reading on these strips are not accurate. As a diabetic, I will be happy to see my sugar levels go down and these strips shows just like that. Yes, I'm supposed to be happy about this... But I know what I put in my mouth. I have 3 kinds of glucometers and was curious to know which is the better one. So, I took 3 testings for each glucometers, the results of the other 2 are almost the same while this one reads so low as in a difference of about 40. If I have a reading of 180 for the other 2, I only get 140 from these strips using One Touch Ultra Mini... 5 stars supposedly because its cheap and compatible with my device but inaccuracy affects this review

Update: Strips for one touch but lancets NOT for one touch! False low reading
The lancets do NOT fit OneTouch lancing device!!! So why on earth would they be sold with what is described as OneTouch testing strips.?? I now have 100 lancets that I have absolutely no use for. It said “fits all standard lancet devices” but then only after that says “ but does not fit OneTouch devices”.... I did not see that part.I have since tested using these strips and OneTouch strips at the same time, and these strips gave a lower reading by more than 10 points.... this is dangerous thinking one’s blood level is lower than it is.

Compared to the previous generic One Touch Ultra strips I was using this product is highly superior. It reads within 5 to 10 points of the OneTouch brand strip. Occasionally they are even the same. It also requires a smaller drop of blood. The only problem with this order was that I did not receive the lancets. My understanding is they do not fit the One Touch Lancing devices and I have three. So they really are of no value to me. Your combo package would be of much more value and beneficial if you would include a generic lancet that fits the One Touch device. Due to health issues I did not contact Amazon about the missing lancets. Besides what am I going to do with them?
