Best crutch/cane tip I have ever used
I've been on forearm canes for 15 years now. I'm a big guy (6'2", 240lbs) and my canes take my full weight on most steps. I usually go through standard tips about every three months. I came across these Tornado Tips that made an awful lot of promises that seemed too good to be true. And for 4x the price of standard tips no less. So they would need to live up to their promises and survive at least four times as long as standard replacement tips or they wouldn't be worth the extra money. So, I was apprehensive and avoided them for a while. But one day, something convinced me to give them a try. I'm really glad I did. That was over two years ago, and not only am I still using my first Tornado Tips, but they hardly look to have suffered any wear or tear whatsoever. (Admittedly, with the covid lockodwns I did less walking than usual the last two years, but still: two years! I would have expected the rubber to have aged and cracked by now.) Also, I actually bought the tips almost two years before I first used them. They just sat on a shelf waiting for me to get around to installing them. So the rubber is actually at least four years old, and it shows no cracks or deterioration. The tips really do a fantastic job of "grabbing onto and gripping" the ground. Similar to a really soft rubber tip. Yet, as mentioned, they've shown hardly any wear at all, like a much harder tip. They bend and flex to fix your style/angle (I have a tendency to hold my canes far out to my sides, so they're more diagonally spreading out away from me. On normal tips that usually causes a lot of wear on only one side of the tips, or causes the rubber to rip in half, but not so far on these. They have since become my crutch tip of choice. And I have purchased more for my backup and special-use crutches. And last weekend, they performed beautifully as we spent the entire day on our feet at Disneyland (took my nephew for his first time there). Everything worked exactly as it should. I really could not be happier with them.Bottomline: I've found this to be one of the few products that actually lives up to the promises that it makes. The price is a little bit higher than I'dike it to be, but they really do deliver. And if we're talking about your ability to walk, then no expense really should be spared. If you're on the fence about spending the money to try them out, I say go for it. You can't put a price on your ability to get around on your own, nor your safety (they really do grip well). Give them a try and see what you think. So, in summation, I have been nothing but happy with these guys and will continue to use them into the future.I whole heartedly recommend them.If anything changes, I'll post more updates. And when the original pair finally wear out, I'll post it here. So if you don't see an update that means I'm still on my original pair.UPDATE: Still going strong, and they still look great. No excessive wear, no cracking, no complaints. And they are used everyday, four years going. I have backup tips (literally sitting in a drawer for years now, as I haven't needed them). So I'm still very, very happy with this product, and whole-heartedly recommend them.

Worth the price
I’m a long term crutch user and when tips blow out it’s dangerous. These are fantastic tips for grip and stability plus they last far longer than any other brand I have tried (tried many). When they do give out it’s not as dangerous. They are a little heavier than regular tips, but it’s a quick adjustment and it’s due to quality. Since changing to this brand 8 years ago, I have bought fewer tips, so the price paid for itself.

Great Product long Lasting
My son's leg was amputated above the knee in 2017. It is difficult for him to use his prosthetic leg because there is only six inches of leg resulting in the prosthetic leg not staying attached. For mobility, he relies on crutches. I bought him a 6 pack of a competitors 'heavy duty' crutch tips, they were delivered on 07/05, he immediately replaced the old tips, within 10 days the metal from the crutch started punching through the bottom of the tip. The rubber was worn and the tips were no longer usable. It looked like he'd been using the tips for years instead of days.On July 19th Amazon delivered these Fetterman Tornado crutch tips, my son immediately switched to these, he uses his crutches daily, he even runs with the crutches adding additional wear. He is now, 4 months in, these tips show no wear and are going strong. It's a shame that these are as pricey as the are but they are well worth the cost.My son says that the companies selling the cheap knock offs should be run out of business since they are jeopardizing the safety of the people that require crutches/walkers to get around by selling a substandard, inadequate product to people that rely on the stability of crutches/walkers in their daily lives.
