This is a nice set of cedar blocks. They arrived wrapped in plastic with white material at each cut end of the block. I emailed the company to inquire about this and they quickly replied that this was some of the cedar oil crystallizing. Once I got that clarified, I was happy with my purchase and the customer service was excellent.

These blocks of wood had a delightful cedar scent when the package arrived.Upon opening I thought the perfect place would be in my chest of drawers.I put several in my sock drawer and in my unmentionables drawer , you get the idea. The following day upon gathering my daily wear, there was NO trace of cedar scent. I know the part about sanding to bring out the aroma. Didn't do much good. They were cedar blocks but a can of one dollar cedar scented air freshener would have been a much wiser investment and cheaper way to go ! Maybe these packages should have an experation date stamped on them... Save your hard earned dollars and get the air freshener.

The natural oils gradually evaporate which is how cedar works to repel moths. So it is important that the wood be untreated to absorb fresh oil and these are untreated. Every couple weeks I respray them with cedar oils purchased on Amazon.Note: buy only natural red cedar oil, the artificial oils don't work against moths.

After researching for how to keep spiders away naturally since I am phobia of spiders so I put these in every corner of the house and I have yet see any spider in yet. I add these to door stopper which helps more.

The blocks are OK but a bit small. Make them larger for the same price and you will have a worthwhile product.

Don't do much as far as scent. I even ordered sandpaper and cedar spray to enhance the bars. Don't know what to do.... there is a faint cedar smell but not what you would expect. I'm going to keep and stay with working with them.

Very disappointed. No scent. Perhaps I am spoiled by the ones my grandma had that had a marvelous scent. Purchased more that were made in the USA and stronger scent. Returned and received a refund.

I keep them in a chest with spare blankets. Blankets smell wonderful when i take them out, and no moth holes! When they start to lose scent, just scratch them up with some sandpaper and they are as good as new.
