AmeriColor (Deep Pink) - Soft Gel Paste Food Colour, 130ml, Deep Pink

The deep pink color did not disappoint. I am looking to start exclusively using americolor gels as they do not dry out like wilton potted gels do.

I had my daughters unicorn party at a bakery where all the kids made cakes. I made the treats including unicorn hot cocoa. I used "deep pink" and they came out perfect! Even the bakers asked me what I used for the perfect pink? I told them Americolor! They said"deep pink?" I said yup! Then they pulled out their own huge bottle and said "it's the best pink!" I agree!

I love all Americolor gels EXCEPT their pinks. This Deep Pink has randomly on different occasions, ruined my decorated cookies by leaving tiny pink spots all over the surface of the Royal icing.It does not dissolve well. If you use it I would add some wate to it in a small dish and stir until all the clumps are blended. I now use Chefmaster Bakers Rose instead.

This straight out of the bottle makes a really bright, almost flourescent pink color. But it's easy to tame down with a little brown coloring... can "take it down" all the way down to a muted mauve-rose pink. Just use sparingly, and you can create all kinds of pink hues from it.

Only brand of food coloring I use. I am a baker and love this brand. You only need a drop or two of color to get bright vibrant colors. The gel does not change the food taste at all. I started with the student kits and found I like the product, and now buy the bigger bottles in my most used colors. A little pricey but worth every penny
