Awesome katana display

Nothing fancy, but does the job
I’ll be honest, I wasn’t impressed when I opened the package. It’s ultra lightweight and made from that Chinese compressed fake wood board they make from sawdust, with a single keyhole screw slot in the back to hang. I was worried about the weight capacity because I was mounting a Claymore. I was already apprehensive because I was mounting it to a rock face which wasn’t even close to flat. On top of that, I didn’t want any kind of Japanese/Asian influenced design jumping out at me, which is what a lot of these mounts are obviously geared towards. All the same I didn’t want it to look “plain”. But I couldn’t find much else that seemed like a contender for my wall. I ended up using a different set of anchors and screws because I needed some extra length due to the rock offset, but I think it came together nicely. It’s not fancy or high grade, but seems to be holding the weight of my Claymore just fine. Mounting would be a lot easier on a flat wall, but I was still able to manage just fine on an uneven rock chimney. So it’s a cheapo 3-4 star quality product in my opinion, but jumps up to 5 stars in value simply because of the price point.

Looks good and easy to install
Got this to complete my daughter’s anime corner in her room. The installation was easy and we think it turned out great.

Easy to measure with. Load bearing. And minimalist so it shows more of the sword. 5 out of 5.

Feels like cheap wood does the job.
The sword wall holders do the job, but they could be better. While they hold the swords securely, the materials feel a bit cheap, and the finish scratches easily. If you’re looking for something high-quality, you might want to look elsewhere.
