OUIDAD Curl Immersion Hi-Defining Custard, 8 Fl oz

I love it! I can wear my wash n go for at least 1 week, and then pull it up into a loose puff for a few more days. It smells amazing, it just has a gooey texture so you have to rub it in your hands before applying. I use a spray bottle when I am applying the product to get the best results. My curls are left defined and soft. I put a silk cap on and wake up and fluff. It starts to look better the older it gets.My beautician recommended this product. It's important to understand how to apply or else you can get flakes and/or have crunchy curls. For best results - your hair should be super wet and applied evenly through the hair. Before hand, shampoo, condition, and apply leave in conditioner.

This is literally the best product I've ever used for an air dry curl down hair day. Provides moisture and hold, but your hair somehow seems also lighter and bouncier, but not big or humid. And smells so good!!

I find this gel to be very moisturizing which my thirsty hair loves. It gives good shine without a lot of flakey build up. I primarily use it for edge and root control when doing protective styles. I have not tried it on a wash and go. It is a bit expensive though.

I have been searching for the perfect product my entire adult life. This is it. I do have to blow dry (diffuser) my hair when using it because otherwise it is a little crunchy. But so many people have commented on how my hair ha been so amazing curly without frizz. It's a godsend. I highly recommend it for curly (I can't speak for wavy or kinky) hair.

Gels are not the easiest to use. I usually use Kinky Kurly Curling Custard when I am looking for a bit of hold and definition. With this Ouidad product (and any other gel based styling products), I have to make sure my hair is shampooed, wet, and also fully moisturized. I used a leaving conditioner first then raked this product through my hair and I got good results. My hair is more on the fine side so I have to be careful with using too much product as it will make my hair flat.It take a couple of hours to dry and I make sure that I do not touch the hair to ensure no frizz. When dry, the product has great hold and definition. This will last me for about 2 days. Now this is not a product that I would use frequently mainly because there is a slight crunch to my hair.

Maybe I'm using this product incorrectly But, it just didn't work for me. The 3c section of my hair was defined but my 4a crown could not form a curl for dear life. Hair was super frizzy by the end of day 2 wash n go. For the price point and the product being touted for Kinky texture, it failed miserably. I Paired this with the brands Curl Immersion silky souffle setting creme not sure if the combo affected the result.

I love it! It took a long time to find, but definitely worth the effort. Great curl definition, no greasy feel and my wash & go lasted for a week with no added product.

I’ve bought this product from Ouidad before but I think they have discontinued it for another set. This is the real deal and it works so great on my coils (Black woman).

I found this custard a couple years ago at Winners and I fell in love. This is the first time I have seen it sold commercially in Canada. All you need is about two pea sized amounts for your whole head (squish it into soaking wet hair). Then cover with a harder hold gel. Be aware that this does have protein in it, so don't let your hair go into protein overload (use it too often, creates dry, brittle hair).Check out the curly girl method!
