The Amplid Ego Trip was designed for big mountain skiers who jump cliffs for breakfast and straightline chutes for lunch. At 111mm underfoot, the Ego Trip is a powder ski (an all mountain ski to some west coasters) and performs at its best in fresh snow. There is a bit of early rise in the tip which will let the ski initiate more quickly and float slightly better in powder snow. This ski is also very lightweight considering its size since it was built with HEXO2 technology where the core is replaced with lightweight honeycomb made of recycled paper. Even though its lightweight, its still fairly stiff and will hold up at high speeds quite well. If you consider yourself one of those big mountain types, the Ego Trip is definitely the ski for you.
